the m16
the best way to use the m16 is simple: it's like Mel Gibson says in "The Patriot"...'aim small miss small'. Another useful tactic when using the m16 is if you are far away, shoot at your enemy using single shot, and if you miss he'll prolly start coming towards you. In this case you'll want to start running towards him moving back and forth slightly while hammering your triple burst. Once you get into a side-to-side or back and forth firefight, that's when you move side to side really quickly continuously firing. This has gotten me so many kills, and you can even own the newbs who use the IW's and STG's. keep practicing

Yes, find a nice rhythem with it. Try it in some spawns, and get used to it. It's the best gun in the game, people just don't take the time to learn how to use it.

I am the most ub3r with the M16A2, ask anyone in the [S3] clan. The key to this gun is to first, get the timing down. Once you can rattle off a clip in say, under 3 seconds you've accomplished the hard part. The second thing you have to do is learn to aim. If you are not good at the game, eg. getting kills, then this gun isn't going to make things easier. You gotta have pin-point accuracy if you want this gun to be a lethal weapon. The third thing you must do is realize that you cannot always use the M16. Sometimes it is indeed too laggy to use it. When this happens take out an AKS-74 on terrorists and put it on burst mode, and as a seal use the AK-105 on burst. Don't ask me why but through countless trials and errors these guns have proven to be just as good on burst and rarely get destroyed by "lag".
Your welcome from the authority on the M16A2...

Off topic, but I would have to challenge you being the most Uber with the 16 because I'm flippin insane with that gun.
Also, if anyone would like a training session with the M16, I would be glad to give some pointers and some of my secrets. Send me a friends invite. My name is #C!! DårkDrûìd.

I'm still working on mastering it. Do you think I should use it in respawn a lot to get better with it? Kind of a n00b question, but does respawn count towards your stats?

One tip I heard while playing this weekend was to try and use the M16 only on flat maps. Which makes a lot of sense because you can get the crosshair at head level and then just leave it there as you run around..
If your playing on a real hilly map like Foxhunt or Deathtrap, etc, it's a lot harder to get the crosshair to where you want it to go.. cuz you'd have to take aim and adjust for every guy.. but when its flat, you just get it at the right level and leave it there.
