There's this program that was recently released which allows you to view Hulu, YouTube and other video streaming sites directly on your PS3 or XBOX 360 (Wii support is coming soon). It is in the Beta stages at the moment but I think it looks pretty promising.

It only works with PC's, so I found a PC, dusted it off, battled through Vista to connect it to my wireless network, and finally installed the program. Unfortunately, it STILL wouldn't connect to my PS3. I know others have been able to connect successfully and I've contacted their support for some advice... I don't know what I could be doing wrong though... I tried virtually everything I could think of doing.

Anyways, check it out:

I would be the one she was talking too and I was able to get it working properly.

The program is pretty solid as I've noticed, with bits and pieces from CBS shows, ESPN updates, CNN clips and etc. As well as Hulu and YouTube right on there. (I know the PS3 will actually already load YouTube videos alone with its browser.

The program was really easy to set up as well, just a download and install. I had to enable media servers on my PS3, and then searched for them under the "video" tab on the XMB. Then all six of the feed were detected. The quality isn't high definition, but its not horrible either.

The downsides are as follows.

You have to have a really fast network to get it to work. Either all hardwired, or a wireless N connection with a Wireless N PC adapter and Wireless N router. The videos take roughly ten or so seconds to start playing, and since your computer is streaming the video off the internet, converting it to a type your PS3/360 can read, and then steaming it to your system, your computer can become pretty laggy at times.

That's all the information I have at this time on it, i'll post more when I look into it more.

To connect my PS3 and PC, I had to disable Windows Firewall, completely turn off Norton, and then turn on every feature in the Network & Sharing Centre.

From there, you can go into Windows Media Player and allow the PS3 (unusually Unknown Device) to share your media.

I am pretty sure I've heard of this program before when I was trying to stream to my PS3. From what I remember, it's pretty promising.
