Ultimate MK3 (XBLA)

I just recently downloaded this from the Arcade. I used to be very good on an arcade machine itself, but I got the hang of using the controller, although I dont preffer it xD

But if anyone else has this, and wants to play, then post. I used to play this game religiously, and now I am starting to again. xD Greatest fighting game ever.

I don't have that game because I have no money but I played this game on SNES and it's good.

In my opinion, this game needs to be patched... especially considering that I've heard several rumors that this game was "hacked" when it was originally released.

And by "hacked", I am talking about Microsoft owning up to the fact that they didn't intend on it being available as early as it was offered.

(Someone leaked it to the public before it was properly beta tested, or something.)

The game itself is a direct arcade port. I see nothing on this that is anything different then on the arcade machine that I used to play a crap load. There is nothing wrong with it.

And you downloaded it quite a few weeks ago, when it was first released? I've dropped enough quarters into MK3 machines back in the day to know that wasn't an arcade worthy port of MK3.

Do I like MK3 on XBLA? You bet Sonya's sweet ass I do.

I'm just not ready to go as far as to call it a great port of the game. It lacks in some areas, plain and simple.

The game is good for 360 arcade. But, the arcade machine sure as hell gave me a lot of enjoyment. Too bad the arcade/store that it was at closed down a little while ago. I am sadened :(. One of the owners of the store was THE best MK player I have ever seen. It was rediculous, and I was the only one that gave him a challenge.

This place had a lock in, from 9 pm to 4 am for 15 dollars, but free arcade games all night. Me and this guy played so much, atleast 500 matches, and our hands where sooo black and swollen. My best characters are Nightwolf, Kabal, and Striker. This guy is godly with everyone, but he likes to use kabal the most. And from my days playing with him, I found out that Striker is THE perfect character to fight with against Kabal.

I know what you mean... I've seen so many really good MK players over the years, that I couldn't even count them all on two hands.

Yah, but this one guy was just downright amazing. Throughout my days of playing on the arcade machine, there were a few decent players, like the kind that are really good with 1 character but suck with everyone else. But this guy knows every move, every fatality, every combo, for every character. Just playing him I brought my skill level up a **** load. I go from winning once out of 100 games (When I just started playing) To beating him once every 4-5 times. But playing on the UMK3 arcade machine for the first time felt so weird.

The layout of the buttons were hard to get used to at first.
