NCAA Baseball 2006

Has anyone played this game? I just rented it, it is a sweet game. I really like how the right analog comes into play with this game a lot.

Hmm..I tend to stay away from EA games ever since the 2K series started to get big (around 2k3/4ish). I feel EA gameplay gets quite repetitive and gets very tiresome while the 2k series keeps me involved for longer then a month. Not sure what it is about EA, but I guess EA and I dont go together! Also how are the graphics any good? Im not into college baseball so I probably wont be picking his one up.

Question

Anyways if anyone has played this game and is quite good at it maybe you can answer the question I am about to ask you.

When your batting, and you have a guy on base. I hold L1 to use the power hitter thing so my guy can crank the ball, but my guy always steals the base when the ball is thrown. What am I supposed to do, never use power hitting again? Maybe someone can help me out with this one.

You must be doing something wrong. All you need to swing the bat is the right analog and the R1/L1 buttons. You shouldn't be pressing anything else.
