Is NFS:UG2 online good? What's it like, do you get to drive around and find players to race, like in the offline mode, kind of like story mode, or is it like setup rooms and what not? thanks for the info....

The rooms are set up and you join them. There is Drag, Drift, Circuit, Sprint, and Street X. You get to choose any car you want with any mods and body parts, the only catch is, to make the car good you have to tune everything yourself otherwise you will get burned hard online.

I have a Mustang set up perfectly for Drag. EVeryone uses a 240SX because they are so cheap and easy to use but I am a pure Stang fan and I built myself a strong competitor(sp?)

im gettin this game tomorrow... cant wait to race online. i absolutely loved HP2 so i was very excited to see this game coming out.

can anyone share with us how online has worked in past NFS games? is there a ranking system. team (clan) races etc etc.

we should definitely get everyone on here who buys this game together in a server and do some races together. my aim is bigwig515 if anyone is interested.

You pick a car, mod it, tune it, then join a room that someone has made. The room can either be Circuit (race in laps), drag (self explanitory), drift (skids), street x (close quarters racing), or sprint (one long course, no laps). Like I said, someone makes the room, you join it. there is a ranking system and you can get little awards for being good in different categories too that show up for everyone else to see. You will only be good on these games, however, if you are good a tuning your car for each specific mode.

I got this game today and Imust say, I like it so far. It is a lot like NFSU2 in ways and better in others which makes it a cool game. The people in the cinemas actualy move instead of being comic book cutouts now!!

The driving is a little better in some ways and a little worse in others. You can oversteer a lot easier in RWD vehicles but the handling at top speed is still a little unrealistic. You can take pretty sharp turns without even having to think about touching your brakes or even letting off of the gas. I still like it though and after I finish my term paper due in one of my classes and email it out I'm jumping right back onto NFSMW.
