But thats the great thing about this country and this forum, many people with manny different opinions, whether they are right or wrong. However, I agree, I just don't understand why the hell you care about what tactics people use. Worry about yourself, I'm sure your life is to hectic and eventful to worry about how other people play a video game, (lol), and it is probably a waste of valuable time. And yes, I am going to pull out, the fact that i paid for the game and all of that BS. I know you wouldn't want some random person who doesn't like camping to tell you how to play that game. Or someone who doesn't like running and gunning to tell you to quit because it's gay. If I wanna camp i'll camp, and thats that, end of story. Unless you'd like to pay my internet bill, I'd be happy to be your little socom slave, and I'd love to hear your orders on how to play socom according you your liking. That being said, I like to run and gun, and I like to snipe, it all depends on the map, and the situation.
Why do I care? One reason, I don't want to play one map for a half hour. I also don't tell people how to play, I just make fun of them along with the [S3] members in the game or my old clanmates that I still play with sometimes. So instead of telling how to play I kind of give them hints that it's annoying the people in the game. If the person doesn't get the idea and still acts like an idiot he's booted from the game.

Personally, if you wanna camp, or if you wanna run around like a chicken with your head cut off pressing R1 having no sense of whats going on around you (yeah I am being sarcastic), then thats your business. How I wanna play the game is mine. If I may say so, I don't recall any "Navy Seals" storming the beaches of normandy, or any other sort of invasion, so that agrument is ignorant. However, special forces were key in the success of DDay, but again, it was using the tactics of a tipical NAVY SEAL unit. Like someone else said, if you don't like how the game is played, then don't f'ing play it man, quit wasting your time, and save yourself the agravation. If you like to run around like a mad man killing people then play halo, that game is perfect for you.
If you read my earlier post I said I didn't rush hardcore every round. Going to your agument, don't tell what game to play either I paid for it.:Sarcasm:

Thats why I just don't understand why you care, you can always just leave the game, or just stop playing it. But the fact that people complaing about "camping", in a F'ing NAVY SEAL video game, just absolutely blows my mind. I new some americans, well human being for that matter, were just plain ignorant, but come on dude. If it were Halo, or a WW2 game based on Normandy or some other HUGE invasion on a global scale, that I could understand your logic. Camping is as a big part of socom as running and gunning is, and it will always be that way. And I don't know what your talking about, but I know just as many campers in S2 as I do in S3 and CA. You are right, there are a lot more campers, according to your theory of camping in CA, but proportionitly, it's about the same. I can't speak for S1 because I never played it online. Now when I say campers I'm using it in your terms, anyone who sits in one spot for .000000000000000001 seconds is a camper, according to you. If you like to run around with your eyes closed pressing R1 in a mad panic (again, being sarcastic), thats your business, I could care less how you wanna play.
There was hardly any camping in S2. There was some but it was tolerated. It was tolerated becasue people who were new to the game usally did it and it wasn't EVERY single game.

For what you said in the bold is completely false. Look at the 2nd post in the thread. I said 10 seconds. You can do a lot in 10 seconds, like run up to a wall, peek out and scan the area and move up to another spot and maybe, just maybe a gun battle with someone might happen. You can take your time through a map without rushing or camping minutes at time.

Quote:
Like I said before, camping, in some situations, can be very very annoying and pisses me off to no end. However, in your theory of camping, anyone who snipes is a camper, because there sitting in one spot for more then 10 seconds. So ya, lets take the more popular part of socom out of the equation, YA thats a good idea, lets loose about 50% are fan base, ya thats it. Lets all just play the game, and seriously, QUIT F'ing complaing about how peope play, again, if you don't like camping, well your going to be a very PO'd person. How you play Socom while at the same time hating campers, is beyond me. LOL, personally, I would have quit a long time ago, but again, thats just me. I respect your opinions and your tactics, because I have to face them while playing against you. However I don't, and will never complain about the specific tactics you choose. It's your game, you play it how you wanna play it.
You have got to be kidding me. Lose 50% of the fanbase! Sorry bud but the fanbase has been cut more than 50% since S3 came out. If camping ended there would so many more people that would play more. I can name so many players that have stopped playing since the camping started to take over. You know why I havn't stopped playing? It's simple, the only people I will play with anymore is [S3] or old clanmates or players that I know do not camp.

---EDIT---
Once again I'm not flaming. I'm just posting my opinions.

Alright ya'll....I'm all for educated discussion and firy debate but........

CAN WE NOT MAKE ANOTHER THREAD ABOUT CAMPING

I started this thread to talk about a wishlist for the next socom game...lets drop the camping talk and propose INNOVATIVE and unique ideas that we'd like to see appear....

YOu will never be able to stop camping..Unless you play on a flat deserted board that has nothing to camp behind/under/over/in/next to.

IDEAS PEOPLE

Fact is, when you snipe that door there are only a few places you can be, and if the SEAL's are too dumb to figure out where you are and take you out, that's life, it sucks, buy a helmut! The heavy sniper rifles give off enough flash to where you shouldn't be able to snipe the door long without someone taking you out. People cry about people sniping the door and I just don't get it, if someone is sniping the door like a punk just get your team organized and take him out. When I'm a SEAL and someone is sniping that door, I look at it as an easy kill since I know they have to be in just a few places.
One question about that, say there is 5 seals left as opposed to one of you, and you're sniping the door. Are you going to sit there and pray that they go in front of the door? Yeah, but they won't. And THEY would be the ones to say "oMg we p00ned j00!" after every round they win th at way. I'm not against camping, there is a time and a place for it. Like I said, it DOES NOT MAKE ANYONE GOOD TO CAMP. If you take pride in the way you play, being able to think on the fly, and OUTTHINK SOMEONE withing 5 seconds gives me more gratitude then being able to not movie for 3 minutes and get 2 kills. I love knowing that I outsmart 2-3 (occasionally 4-6) players at one time, thats where the skill in these games is, being able to think on the fly.

Before you get "being tactical is thinking on the fly", yeah....right. You're not thinking quickly when your laying down zoomed in on a door that is 3 foot wide, or watching that door from the other side while outnumbering one guy whom is desperately trying to think of a way to get to you and your 5 teammates thathaven't moved.

And just an FYI, I do play h2, i'm not a big fan, but it is a good change of pace compare to this game, although people camp in it too (surprise surprise! and they even think they're good ebcuase of it too...)

I'm just talking respawns, camping the door in a ranked game would be idiotic. It's fun in respawns since you have a constant flow of players coming out of the spawn, but a 5 v 5 ranked game, by the time you go in the right postiion the seals have more than likely already left the spawn or gotten up on the walls.

I could have sworn that the title of this thread is "Socom 4 wishlist"... not a debate on what or what doesn't constitute camping doorways in any other kind of online shooter game.

Let's keep it on topic, please...

I have always wanted to get up on anything big like the windmill in Harvester so maybe they can add something like in Battlefield 2 that you can launch up and be able to climb up on.

How about random civilians and workers...Syphon for instance, you could have oil workers walking around and running for cover whenever there is fire close by. Nothing ground breaking, but it could add another dynamic to the games.

If nothing else, you have a bad day you could always blow off steam picking off civilians! lol
