anyone know why the footage comes out pretty dark? Is there something i can go into to adjust the brightness? I use the ADD BRIGHTNESS effect on WMM but then it turns almost too bright.
Go to your capture card settings, or Dazzle settings..you can get to it when you click "Capture video" if you're using WMM, and there's a button somewhere to bring up settings..then just raise the slider bar on the brightness scale.

Another quick question while I'm at it, for those who use Vegas.
If I record using WMM, can I just save the movie file and then open it with Vegas to edit?

i just bought Pinnacle and tried to record otter's way and the Wondows movie maker freeze's up. I dont own a vcr and my DVD player is in my living room. I bought that Mad Catz S-video audio cbale that otter shows but I still cant record. Help me out if you can. Please.
I tried a few different ways but I keep getting some error.
If you have Pinnacle record in that and then edit in WMM if you want.
I tried to record. I even tried otters way and otters way w/ pinnacle and I t says check cables or something i dunno I guess i am going to have to fiddle with it. Thanks tho
Hi all, this is my first post here and i wanted to wish you all the best year possible. Now my question, can you pls explain me what is the end of both sides of the S-Video cable? It plugs on the "optical" plug on the PS2? I use my pc close to the TV so that would be my system, can u pls explain me cause im a complete rookie.What is the technical name for both endings on the cable? Thanks in advance.
Ok well you will need a capturing device of some sort. Now since your PC is close to your TV a dazzle should do fine, but you can also you a integrated capture card. Here is my dazzle:
No idea what the technical name is, I just call it the guy or the girl. The guy goes into the PS2, the girl goes into your capturing device. The guy end also has your normal a/v cables coming out of it (red, white, yellow) and those go into your tv so you can play while recording.
Ok thanks first of all, but i already have one. I have the audio cables, the video cable but i dont have the s-video cable because i dont know what is the end of both sides of the cable and where to plug in...Do u know what that blue cable is? I know the tutorial is clear, im the rookie here. Thanks once again ;)
