There really hasn't been many other PS3 exclusives that warrants lots of commercial time.
And I may be wrong but after some thought. Doesn't the developers have to pay for the advertising of their games ?? Anyone ?
I do believe it is the publishers job for the advertising.

But anyway, you are quite wrong NUN. First, Sony are a multi-billion dollar business. Second, its not ignorance of advertising altogether that Sony are guilty of, but a complete overestimation of their advertising thus far.
"This is Living" was a complete shambles of a launch campaign which only served to alienate a lot of people... you can't tell people that they aren't living and insinuate that gaming is the right way to go... its just ridiculous. And as the protitute (I got called a rapist when playing under "ShadowStalker" years ago so you'll be a ***** and you'll like it Midnight_Walker) has pointed out, in the UK consumers hear "Out now on Xbox 360" far more often than "Out now on PS3" because MS have some sort of deal with multi-platform publishers, presenting their console as the obvious choice for that game.
And Sony just assume that people know the differences between the 360 and PS3, when they don't. Sony should have beaten the fucking shit out of Microsoft, no other way of putting it, when the failure rate of the 360 became apparent. I'm fed weekly updates on how supermarkets compare on price and service by TV, and they advertise every little convoluted victory they can get... if that falls within the fair competition rules, why weren't people told by Sony that their product was fifteen times more reliable than the competitions? And a lot of folks don't even know that the PS3 can play blu-ray disks. Sony needed to actively promote every little feature of their console because MS had already won the most vital part of the audience... they had most of the gamers who just wanted the seventh generation ASAP, but they outright conquered those people who just love to talk about gaming. Not fanboys, thats too dismissive a term. They didn't spend 2006 - 2008 delivering messages like "360 rulz" and "PS3 is ghey", they spent their time writing essays on the 360's greatness. They staffed game stores, and actively promoted the 360 as the superior console to cumstomers of their own free will. They were the anti-Tuhan, the anti-Zero's. Once you've won over the faux intelligentsia (hehehe) you have a fortress of support.
Are you guys watching G4 or something? I never see these damn commericals.. And if I do see a video game commericial it has xbox at the end..
Every time I see a thread like this i will say the same thing.. I think it's friend and clan support. Xbox has all these games with awesome clan support and friend base.. What game on the ps3 can you go on right now and have an awesome clan war? None really..

I think the word "suck" is the wrong word. I FULLY agree with you that single player is still badass given the games (The MGS' FFs, RE, etc. No doubt about it...I know. Lol). I meant in this day and age, once you've been exposed to something that has left a STRONG impression on you...it is kind of hard to go back (Given that there is not enough to go back to...you get what I'm saying.) I mean if there is something to go back to, no doubt about it I'm there ABSOLUTELY.
I hope this clears a bit of stuff up ^^

I have to say that Tuhan's first post in this thread was right on. I have to agree with pretty much everything he said, and it's all well-stated.
As far as playing online and all that stuff, I think MAG is going to be the greatest online console game ever made (assuming it runs and plays well, like they're saying it will). Yes, I do realize there is the possibility of it not being all that they've talked it up to be. But IF IT IS, it's going to blow away any online game that any console has ever had. I believe MAG has the potential to be a HUGE home-run-hitter for the PS3.
Personally I think MAG is going to start out being fun, but will inevitably descend into a complete mess when the number of players increases. I hope it works, but on that scale, I just don't see it.
