I got bioshock yesterday, can't believe it only took 2 days to get here from Gamefly o_o.
My first run through is pretty quick, I am rescueing all the little sisters. I will then play a 2nd time through and do all the little detailed stuff. Need to do as much as possible, because it probably won't get that much attention from me when MP3 and Warhawk come out in a few days.
It is a good game though.

I'm rescuing all the little sisters this time around myself. I haven't seen what happens when you harvest them, but I bet the graphics are just as sick. I'm trying to make sure I cover everything. I'm definetly going to go through it again on the hardest difficulty.
I don't understand the Gene Swap / Tunic machine ? I don't know if I need to buy a slot or something ? No matter what I do it says: " Warning you have a slot open "......Confused

I played the demo for this game (FINALLY!) last night before I went to bed... pretty damn fine game, if you ask me. Now I think I might actually buy (or rent) a copy of this game... can anyone tell me if it's a long enough game to warrant a purchase? Or is it more of a weekend rental?

The IGN reviews says that it's " Rather Lengthy ". I don't know around about how many hours that means, but I'm guessing BioShock is probably somewhat longer than Gears of War.
The game is gorgeus and a must play but $60 + is steep for a SP shooter with no MP. I'll be playing through it more than once. I bought it because My friends and I trade off games when we finish them.

Consider yourself lucky... the last time mine was in the shop, it took longer than two weeks for me to get a straight answer on WTF was going on with the status of the repairs on my console.
Once you get your 360 back, do yourself a favor and play the BioShock demo... you more than likely won't be disappointed!!!

from what I've heard the replay value is kind of low, but that being the only complaint I've heard then it's probably worth the purchase.

I hope it's not that short. I think I barreled through Gears in two nights.
I picked up Bioshock last night. I hope to beat it by early next week and trade it in while it's still hot. It's a great, beautiful and interesting game, but my replay spider-sense has not tingled at all.

Not really. You should play through this game twice which is all I want to do anyway before it goes on the " Shelf of Forgotten Games "
I'm playing through the first time Rescuing the Little Sisters...Next time I go through the game I'm going to Harvest their souls
