I just can't wait to get playing SOCOM again. I loved S3 (only SOCOM I have played on) for around a year before selling my PS2. I then fell into the "I can't believe people even played that game" category of people, but I have recently been thinking about the good times playing S3 with some members of (then) socom3.com. Nightbringer, and Graff especially.

Confrontation will be better than COD4, that's what I have to keep telling myself.

I wonder what is going to become of this feature in the new Socom game, once Sony phases out the Sixaxis function in their new controllers, once the DS3 hits stores here in the States, in a matter of weeks??

I believe it can. I think I read somewhere that you can get a controller with just DS3, or you can get a combo with DS3/Sixaxis.

Well, I do know they confirmed that they will no longer be making Sixaxis controllers. I read something about that a few days ago, or something...

However, as I stated in another thread, the DS3 that I imported from Japan has both functions (rumble and motion sensing) built into the controller.

I was just throwing that question out there, for speculation's sake.

On topic, the DS3 is basically the SIXAXIS with rumble, so the game will most likely still be treating the motion sensing the same way.

Don't sell the controller short... it's worth every penny, and makes me think of the classic PS2 gaming days with every rumble of it.

Besides, it's "multi-functional"... it's got rumble, as well as motion sensing.

And as I posted in the "DualShock 3" thread, they're already available for purchase on the EB Games' website... my brother received his just this afternoon at work.

I wasn't selling it short my friend, explaining that its a sixaxis with rumble isn't selling it short, just saying it comes with both :)
