I would say buy it. This game is amazing in all aspects. Plus Battlefield 2 is coming out in 2 weeks...which will probably be even more popular.
Even if you dont like these 2 games, all the games on this console are just spectacular with the graphics and sound. Plus "Street Fighter II" online is about to be released as an online download on March 30th. Alot of people are talking about this. They added alot of online modes and functions that are suppose to make it even better. You can be a spectator and talk mess to the 2 people who are currently fightning...AND play the winner of the fight.
more info on this here from GameSpot :

Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting Updated Hands-On
We take an updated look at Capcom's classic fighter in Xbox Live Arcade form at a recent press event.
Up until this point, all of the games falling under the "coin-op classics" heading on Xbox Live Arcade have come from Midway. But Capcom is looking to muscle in on its former arcade rival's turf with the release of one of the greatest games of all time, Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting. Microsoft recently displayed a work-in-progress version of the game at a showcase event, and we were able to take it for a spin.
Well, a partial spin, anyway. The version we saw looked pretty much perfect. The game looked, sounded, and played just like the arcade original. But right now, that's all it does. Options for a versus mode, and the most important feature of all, online play, were listed on the game's menu, but were unselectable in this unfinished version.
There have been some extra touches added to the content, which are welcome. The achievements for the game will be split between offline and online accomplishments, requiring players to hone their skills alone and in the wild, untamed atmosphere of online play. In addition to the traditional Xbox Live offerings, the game will feature "quarter matches" that let spectators throw their hats into the fighting ring, in an approximation of how matches used to be in arcades.
Playing single-player felt just about right. You can pick from the original eight world warriors as well as the four boss characters. This is a port of Hyper Fighting, which was the second SF2 upgrade released into arcades. It added things like the ability for Ken and Ryu to execute hurricane kicks in midair, among other things. The speed was also pumped up, making for a more frantic game, overall. It was the last Street Fighter to appear on Capcom's CPS arcade hardware, as the next upgrade, Super Street Fighter II, ran on CPS2, added four new characters, a lame new announcer, and generally fouled things up.
Like other Xbox Live Arcade games, you'll be able to earn achievement points for fulfilling certain requirements. Some are easy, like simply playing a game with each character. Other single-player achievements include beating the game without losing a round, and so on. Online, you'll earn points for playing in 250 matches, winning 100 matches, reaching the top 10 leaderboards, and so on. Overall, there seems to be a good balance of easy and difficult points to earn.
So, what's the hold up? Well, presumably there's still work to be done on the online side of things. Considering that a fighting game is useless without a steady stream of competition, the online play will either make or break this one. Last reports put this game on for a March release, but we'll have to wait and see what Capcom is up to.

Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter on PS2 is absolute rubbish. Do not buy it, it's not worth $50. EVERYTHING ABOUT IT SUCKS, except there's no lag. But how can it lag when everyone looks identical, has the same 6 weapons to choose from, the maps are small and the graphics are from the Nintendo 64?

Many have the opinion that the XBOX version was blatantly made worse in efforts to encourage people to get the 360.
A couple of my friends have it for 360, and concur with Veins' review of the game.
I and my clan will be getting it for the PS2, though I'm personally very leary about it. There have only been two screen shots published of the PS2 version, and they look terrible. Little to no details have been published about the PS2 version, though a box art scan of the European edition reveals that it is only 4 vs 4 online. Little hope exists that the US version will be different.
Also beware that the features most sites and retailers are quoting for this game are those of the 360 version, which do not exist on the XBOX and most likely the PS2 version.
Key details about the XBOX version:
No Prone
1st Person Only, with gun on screen
2 players in Co-op missions only
Bottom line: rent before you buy

I agree with you that the 360 is the only platform you should play Ghost Recon AWF on. I have a PS2 and Xbox and the version for the original XBOX just doesn't seem to compare to the 360. Are you sure that the version for the original Xbox is only in first person and can only have 2 player co-op missions because I have the first Ghost Recon, Ghost Recon 2 and the expansion pack Ghost Recon 2: Summit Strike. The first GR was in first person only but the 2nd one and the expansion pack had 3rd person available with the ability to go prone and there wasn't a limit on how many players could play co-op. I doubt very much they would have changed anything seeing as how popular the 2nd and expansion pack are. Next to Socom 3 Ghost Recon Summit Strike (XBOX) is the game I play most online and the features for the new GR look sick. I'm gonna get the 360 soon but so far all I can find is the core system without the hard drive, it's gonna take a while before I can get the 360 with the 20 gb hard drive.

One of the things that is much better on Ghost Recon 2 than Socom 3 is the online communications. With the PS2 you have to hold down the button to talk which wastes a lot of time and can be detrimental in a firefight. Plus the fact that sometimes you can't even talk at all because some moron is on the line saying something stupid while you're trying to relay important information. With the XBOX there are no buttons to hold down if you want to talk you can just speak into the mic and that's all there is to it, simple. It's much easier to coordinate on GR2 than Socom 3 so I hope they make that improvement for the next Socom.

I saw a killer game for the PS3, it's called Crysis and the graphics on it look sick. I think it might be a first person shooter but it has real time ambient lighting, inredible boards in the jungle that look so real with the different shadows/lighting and such. I can't remenber the exact site it was on because it was late and I was tired but I suggest you look for it because it's gonna be incredible. If I find it again I'll let you know the site. Keep you posted.

So, the PS2 version wasn't good than the X360 version? I was thinking of buying it because the X360 was successfully good.

You're complaining that on SOCOM people will just keep talking and you won't have teamwork? I played HALO which had free mics and imagine this: Little kids randomly screaming into the mic, people screaming and talking **** to eachother, enemies talking **** all the time when you are too close to them, and more bull. Honestly, it was a helluva lot funner, but a game like SOCOM doesn't need it.

Reasons to buy Xbox 360
For These Games Out Now:
Call of Duty 2 - The best WWII game I have ever played. The simple playing through this game will let you pass any test you ever have on or relating to WWII. Words cannot describe the graphics and the overall feeling you get from playing this game. Online has been patched aswell making it much more fun!
Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter - Takes place in a near future. If you know the Ghost Recon series you can trust me when I tell you this is better than all the others combined. Online is awesome with a few flaws which can be, and probably will be, resolved in a single patch. You can catch Veins, Muk, and I playing this bad boy.
Other Games Out Now:
Need for Speed: Most Wanted (HD on 360)
The Outfit (Only Available for 360
The Godfather: The Game (Bonus Material on 360)
The Elder Scroll: Oblivion (Only Available for 360)
Quake 4 (Only on PC and 360)
Perfect Dark Zero (Only Available on 360)
Full Auto (Only Available on 360)
Fight Night Round 3 (HD & Bonus Material on 360)
Gun (HD on 360)
Games Coming Out Soon:
Final Fantasy:XI (April 15th)
Battlefield 2 (April 11th)
Gears of War (TBD)
Halo 3 (TBD)
Cool Features with XBL:
Game Arcade - Buy, Play, Download favorite remade arcade games
Media Center - Download Demos, Videos, Previews, MP3s, and more
Gamerscore - Trace all accomplishments you get both online and offline
Much more crap but who has the time.
Things you hear:
Crashing rumors - only happens to a slight percentage (microsoft sends you a brand new box or repairs it for free)
XBL update - again, only a SMALL SMALL percentage (same as above)
Overheating - All xboxes sold post January are 2nd generation consoles which no longer have this problem. A $15 aftermarket cooler system is also available for addition security from overheating.
PS3 better - With what major titles? The only PS2 games I enjoyed playing were Ratchet & Clank and Socom. Most games these days are multi-console. You need to choose between Sony and Microsoft. Sony deals with tons of electronics. Microsoft deals exclusively with computers, programs, and now video games. I trust them aswell.
Play now or later - 360 and PS3 will be built with near identical guts and programing. Xbox has always been more user friendly online and offline. Why wait months (perhaps another year) to play the same technology as 360 has out now?
Games - PS3 won't have as many games as 360 will at it's release. 360 will have a library of awesome games while PS3 has it's basic release with console games. You make the decision. With xbox you have a variety of games to choose from already!

Nice description c0mmand3r, but I'll still get the PS3, sorry .
Anyways, it seems IGN put Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (PS2) 3.7 and Gamespot 4.4. Another rip game for Ubisoft. They should put more effort on it.
