Online ranking system... raves/gripes

This is where all of the opinions regarding the SOCOM 2 online ranking will be directed to... have fun!

system isn't that bad, it them stupid people that play that laydown crap. Crappy people getting good ranks. If they would actual play a real game it would show people that laydown doesn't do anything for you, skill wise. Most the time the people with wings in the laydown games suck just as bad. I'll go into the laydown matches and kill him before he can kill anyone else. You want to talk about a mad bird. He'll abort the map 9 times out of 10. That's my type of fun.

Oh yah and I also think that Pistols only rooms do help ranking but maybe thats just because I rule at HG only!

I had my wings and dropped down to LT. Commander, which was ok. I got MVP four times in a row then my rank dropped to LT. The next day I signed on my name and I was an ensign!!!! The ranking system sucks, no matter how good I did my rank kept going down. I just created a new name and all was fixed. Ha, but now I was once again an LT. Commander yesterday and now i'm an LT today. All I gotta say is that the online ranking system sucks and sony or whoever makes it either needs to make a new one or update the current one.

That interesting, ive never had a problem keeping my rank up. Note that sometimes MVP doesn't mean shiit if anyone else is close to you in points. And bridges and bombs count for less than a kill. So point whores who rush bridges, bombs, and c4 never really benefit even with an mvp.

ya i know a kid that always plays rank^ games and the same f'in level (sujo) and practicly gets all his kills from mines ( he does 2x mines trick) he is a captian and he realy sucks, i mean he defines sucking at socom like a dictionary, he had the game much longer then me, but i'm way better, and whenever he plays any level other then sujo he is the first person to die nd gets no kills.

some people just come into a breach game, plant 8 mines, and camp at the base, THEY DO NOT DESERVE WINGS, they are just british cigarettes that dont want to have fun playing the game, just make it f'd up for people who worked for their rank

You know what they should have for campers???? It's kind of bizarre but if people stay in one spot for TOO long a helicopter should just fly in and BOMB THE HELL OUT OF THEM!!! Kind of like 3 seonds in the key in basket-ball. Yeah.............yeah.........ok.........

While we're just ripping off counterstrike more, SOCOM might as well have a camp meter. Like if you stay in one area for too long you just die, unless you have a sniper rifle, then you should be allowed to lol.

I'm extremly upset at this point in time. Last night I had a bad game on crossroads. For some reason I could not kill anyone. What I thank was a headshot turned into me getting shot up by a terrorist. Basically I droped from cookie to butter sticks again. This in just one game, which is total BS. You should not be demoted for one bad game. After that I played for like 2 more hours and still didn't make it back where I was. Your rank goes down way to fast while it takes an act of god to go up. I just wish these rank up rooms go away. I'm tired of being demoted for one bad game. Here is the problem with being demoted. Nobody wants to play buttersticks because, which i believe, there scared of losing rank. There is no challange in the lower rank rooms. Anyways just venting, please tell me what you think.

That kind of thinking pisses me off. The buttersticks could just be starting a new name and the truth is they are really highly ranked people on another name. I was playing with another clan and they wanted to have a clan war. THey came to our game and left cause boohooo there was an ensign on our team !
