I'm pretty lucky. My Wife doesn't really mind when I play. If I'm playing late, on the weekends, she usually sleeps on the couch.LOL I play in the front room. And so, if someone wants to play a movie, etc, I let them. Works out nice that way.

My wife got me to play socom online. I'm actually glad she did. We spend alot of time together. LOL she got mad at me one time because I didn't tell her that someone was comeing up behind her. This game is a good way for us to save money and have fun together without the worry of going to a bar or leaving the house for that matter. I've had lots of fun at times playing with her. We love the competion to see who does better. Of course she does she has been playing since the first SOCOM came out. We have to remind each other not to get too mad cause its just a game but you can't help it. I love my wife very much and would not have a game be the cause of a the fall of our relationship and anyone that does doesn't need to be married or in a relationship for that matter.

AL recently got engaged right?? My dad and 3 uncles play Socom and they are all married go figure. Only my dad has kids (Cakey_Spice and myself) But he plays very very rarely he is waiting for Socom 3 to come out before he starts up again, he is tired of the old maps.

Let me tell you that my wife hates the game. The good thing is she works at starbucks and works from when I get home till about midnight. I have 2 kids though so I spend time with them first then I play after I put them to bed. My wife has been pulling this crap lately that the game has to be off by the time she gets home. But then I did something stupid and broke my headset(on accident not out of frustration) and I was all heartbroken because I cant play without the headset. So she goes and buys me a new one because she knows how much I love the game. And then she hates it again because i play until 2-3 in the morning.lol. Oh she is crazy sometimes but the main thing is, is to spend time together and respect your wife.

I used to play so much, that my wife and friends had an "intervention" to stop me from playing. Luckily we came to a compromise that we can both live with.

anyway, has socom been a sore point for your marriage? has it driven a wedge between you both? or on the flip side, does your wife actually like you playing, rather than having you going to happy hour w/ your work buddies, or worse yet, chasing some tail at the local strip club...?
thoughts n gripes plz =)

Well you see, many people dont like to share this kind of information with some random child/adult over the internet, seeing as its mostly personal.
I, however, have had some of the same thoughts before.
But yea, with my girlfriend, she gets pissed when I wanna play SOCOM for a bit...its annoying as hell.

I'm twelve years old, far from being married, but anyways my parents hate it when I play socom, it pisses my parents off.And video tore me and my parents apart, now when they talk, I get annoyed.

I don't have a wife to contend with, and my Girl lives off base... I just have fellow soldiers and, of course, my training/exercises to stop me playing...
I once played SOCOM twelve hours straight, slept for two minutes, we all got up for a lovely day of army life, turned out there had been a mix up and we hadn't been told we would be awake the next 48 hours on an exercise... you guys with harsh wives are lucky...
