My 360 just got three red rings after playing modern warfare for like 5 minutes...... 5 minutes come on.....this is my first 360.....and i have only had it 2 months but bought it refurbished but still....i couldnt afford the warranty so now am i stuck?
fuck.....im broke and dont get hours at my work at all..... its only been two months shouldnt they be subject to repairing it at least this first time?

You might get some sympathy talking to the manager there, chances are slim on that one.
You might get some luck just calling microsoft and being as vague as you can about where/when you purchased it and they might just fix it for free. Definitely leave out the bit about it being a refurb.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble, especially if this is your first 360. It's a fantastic console, minus the looming threat of hardware failure.
my friend knows a little bit about fixing them he can fix the overheating problems they have a tendency to have he is coming over after school to check it maybe he can fix it if xbox doesnt reply with a positive answer to my email.
You could always try the towel trick. Get it working, then immediately take and trade it in (Gamestop will hook it up to be sure it works). You'll take a loss but it's better than nothing.
Or you could just keep doing the towel thing. I think I recall someone here doing it for a month or two before theirs completely croaked.
I'd call them. The worst you'll get is "not covered under warranty". With luck they'll fix it for free. I wouldn't worry about the call center people knowing about the email. They're probably handled by two seperate groups.
