Help with online Left 4 Dead?

So I absolutely love Left 4 Dead...
I've played the campaign solo over and over again,
but every time I try to go online with it,
it doesn't work.

It loads and loads and loads and eventually the little swirly thing stops swirling and nothing happens. I click the xbox button and nothing happens only to find my xbox is frozen.
I checked the cords and connection and tried again only to find the same issue.

I put different game disks in to check if it was my Xbox causing the problem, but it was only Left 4 Dead that was doing it.

Does anybody know what may be the cause of this problem and how I can solve it?

Could be a bad printing of the disc. Do you have a friend with a copy to see if you have the same problem? If not its def. a bad disc.

Let us know how it turns out. I had the same problem with another game (can't remember which one). But single player worked fine, online caused it to crash. I think its caused by the anti-piracy protection, and the intentional bad sectors they put in. If they're not just right on the disc, it can't read them properly. Just my hypothesis. Could be from heat or something too that caused a warp in the disc. Sometimes you can't even tell either.
