This stupid message happened when I tried using a prepaid card to get more microsoft points, so I could download the add-ons for fable 2.

What the F%(§!!!??? It wont let me download from the xbox website, it says that purchases cannot be made on the site right now, try your xbox console. Which I did, and still I get

I googled it, and it seems like allot of people have had this problem. Most tried calling microsoft support, but were met with please hold, talk to my supervisor, talk to his supervisor, etc etc etc, and the problem was still not fixed. Apparently it marks you for fraud if your credit card information doesnt match your account information. And then all purchases period are blocked until they resolve the problem.
Its weird, because I can still play on live, I just cant buy anything, and its a really big annoyance... especially since I had to agree to clean the house to get my woman to agree to let me buy the points in the first place...

I bring this up simply because, if anyone else has had this problem, I would like to know if they resolved it quick, and also as a warning. Make sure your credit card info matches your account info. I know they dont tell you that this has to be done, but its why it will happen.
This is all since they added the new dashboard in 2008... yay for fraud protection...

Of course not, just there are other ways to protect against it. And there could be some mention now that contact information has to exactly match up with credit card info, or you might get flagged like I did.

Its been a few days now, and all my info is actually correct and I contacted microsoft, but nothing...

I made this topic purely as a kinda hey look out topic so noone else ends up with this problem.
