Hi guys

can I region free xbox360 (modified) connect to the xbl (xbox live) ?
Or in other words can I play online with a region free xbox360?

And what is the minimum connection speed to be able to play online?
I have a slow connection

for the first question i would think YES you could...i cant think of a reason why you couldnt...unless they could tell it was modded then i would be worried.....

the second question i have no clue sorry.

To my knowledge, you cannot use a modded system online.

I've heard/read/or something, that MS has a way of *knowing* the system is modded.


Also, I can't verify this as I don't even remember how I stumbled across the info, so don't bother asking for sauce.

No, you can't. Your ass will get banned, for reasons that should be blindingly apparent. A friend of mine has a "region free" 360 and he's been booted off.

Who has a modded 360 for the sole purpose of making it region free anyway? Half the games out there are region free.

I can confirm 100% that you will get kicked off of Xbox live for this.***

Ahem *cough* 'a friend' of mine played CODWAW before it was officially released and had the console banned.

***Note though its the console itself that gets banned not the Xbox Live account, they do have systems for checking which consoles have been tampered with.
