So get this. Recently I had to change my gamertag to "Major Dirt" because as PvtDirt, I couldn't join people's games, or start party chats with anyone.
Changing my gamertag fixed this somehow.... it's happened with several of my friends.

What the hell? I don't think it's the gamertag but your connection. There are some people I couldn't join their party so I just reset my modem and it works.
p.s: Add me on XBL. -

What the hell? That is really weird, I've never herd of a problem like that. -

I've hardly had any latency issues with my 360 ever since I changed some of the gaming settings in my router... it's been smooth sailing ever since... knock on wood. -

p.s: Add me on XBL. I tried resetting everything that has to do with my internet connection multiple times and it didn't work. It was a pain till my uncle told me about switching your gamertag, ever since I switched it everything has been working perfect.

I'm trying to get my money back from Microsoft for having to pay to switch my gamertag in order for my xbox live to work correctly. Worth a shot. Wow, I've never heard that fix before! Switching your GT to combat connection issues?
What's the theory behind it? Any clue/guess?
Someone else *sorry not to quote* had said the NAT has something to do with it, & I've heard before that p2p connection issues via XBL are supposedly caused by the NAT.
I've had instances where there were specific people I had problems connecting to. Couldn't join party or chat, send invites or messages. The only way we could get in the same games/party were to have a common friend host both party & game.
I wish I could isolate my problem, either my new-ish router or NXE (got both around the same time) but it used to not happen, now it does. -

There're three NAT settings: Strict, Moderate and Open. Open can talk to and play with anyone. Moderate can only talk to and play with those with Open or Moderate settings, and the Stricts and only talk to or play with the Stricts. Here's an article on how to correct your NAT settings.
The gamertag issue is a rare one. I had a similar problem with mine on GRAW2. On XBL's end my GT data for GRAW2 got corrupted and I could not play the game offline or online with it. The only resolution was to make a seperate GT to play the game with, which was a big pain in the azz. -

You can't fast forward/rewind movies on Netflix... f*cking gay, -
You sure about that? I recall it being operated by either the bumpers or the triggers. -

Just double checked with Walk Hard. You can fast forward with the right trigger, and rewind with the left trigger. If you press A you will get a little bar at the bottom with the standard options as well to play, stop, rewind, skip... Don't know what the issue could be for you but I won't be so bold as to presume YOU'RE the problem. | |
