All Colombia Pictures movies have been pulled from the Netflix Queue the day before the NXE update. Colombia Pictures is a subsidiary of Sony, and none of these videos will be available for the Xbox 360.
How long will it be until all Sony Picture movies are taken off as well?
I am going to go out on a limb and assume this is a business decision to try and push back digital distribution from being that little bit more mainstream. They still want to push Blu-ray sales as much as they can until the format is pretty old.
P.S. I watched a few more NXE videos...and my only major complaint is the fact that there is no friends LIST anymore. You have to scroll one by one to people's avatars to see who is on. So ****ing inconvenient.
Well I've been having problems getting on Xbox live since yesterday with it signing out intermittently. Now, I have managed to download the new update but I can't connect to XBL at all.
I will fiddle about with my network/hub a bit and see if that helps. If not, I'm on the phone to try and blag my way to another free month.
Edit - The original update took around 1 minute from telling me there's an update available to the 360 being ready to use again. Now I've managed to get back on XBL and am having to download another update which is estimated to take between 5 and 30 minutes.... nice estimation there.

That's a pathetic move on Sony's part. Childish really.
Maybe they'll stream them over PSN.

If it was simply a case of them not wanting their movies on the service, they would take down all Sony Pictures movies, not just Colombia (and it might not have even been Sony's decision). So I don't understand the exact reason why the did it, or it is actually a contract conflict for whatever reason. Who knows.
UI is slick, fast, and sexy as hell.
I love the new mini-blade UI too, and the messaging interface.
Avatars need 10 times as many clothing options, and the ability to change the colors of individual items.
The Netflix service is AWESOME. I'm watching the first episode of the A-Team right now and it looks great. They need to create an interface for movie browsing through the dashboard though. It's an inconvenience to have to queue your picks via a computer first, though anything you queue does appear instantly on the dash.
The marketplace is great too.
Just another note: I just started watching Pan's Labrynth in HD via Netflix, and the picture quality looks pretty good. Not Bluray good, but still pretty damn good.
Eh, it's okay. All I'm really looking forward to is the Netflix streaming. Trying to get my mom's information because she's the primary account holder (I don't know why considering she gets NOTHING anymore...). Till then, I sit. And wait.
I updated it before I went to work just to see what it looks like so I only got to play around with it for about 10 minutes. The avatars a pretty cool but like omega said I wish you could change the color of specific objects like t-shirts and stuff like that. As for the amount of clothes it really isn’t bad for launch. Microsoft did say that they are going to be doing fashion lines for the seasons just like actual designers do and most of it is going to be free, so I think that will really be cool. My favorite part is the themes, I downloaded the theme you get with gears 2 and when you go into your friends list each friend is standing on part of a destroyed city which I think is really cool. Like I said I only got to play around for 10 minutes but so far it looks pretty good.
With all this netflix talk I am going to sign up for netflix, it sounds like a really good deal. A few questions, do I have to have a certain plan or can I just get the cheapest one and watch movies from my Xbox. Also can I watch any movie over live or is it only the small list that you are able to watch on your computer? Thanks in advance.

You just have to have some sort of Netflix plan, any plan at all. All Colombia Pictures and Sony Pictures movies were removed a day before the overhaul, so we won't be seeing as many. They said there were over 10,000, but I don't know where that number jumped to with the removal of said movies.
All things considered, I really like the new XBL "experience"... downloading the update took like no time whatsoever, and creating your avatar took like no time whatsoever. Very nice!
I watched the first hour of Natural Born Killers from my instant Netflix queue before I had to do other things around the house, and get ready for school... I'm just hoping that the list of "watch instantly" movies continues to grow, because I think the list of available movies at this moment in time is totally weak.
The grunge shirt that I have on my avatar is totally uber... I feel like I'm in a "Smells Like Teen Spirit" music video!!
I just signed up for netflix and I am going through all the movies so I can watch some at home and I have to say there are really no movies on the instant watch list that I want to see. Either I have seen them or they are just lame, thank god for the 2 week trial because I will be cancelling this very soon. It is a great idea don’t get me wrong it is just the selection is so lame. Maybe when they actually add movies I want to see ill get it again.
I am still not going to bother signing up for Netflix, as I am not a big movie person.
Overall, the update is great. Still not fond of the avatars though. >_>
Everything moves faster, and overall still has the level of organization as the system before. I keep getting some errors while going into certain sections though, but that was this morning, haven't tried it recently.
Too bad I have no new 360 games to break in the "New Experience" and I probably won't for another month or so. :P
Edit: Oh yah...forgot I am getting the Last Remnant soon. :p
The list of movies is weak at the moment, but at least I can grab some extra movies in a given time frame when I have one here or being sent to me. For instance, I put four seasons of The Office on my queue and have already gone through the first, and I already have The Secret Blu-Ray here, so whenever I am waiting to send back or receive another movie, I can grab some from the Play Instantly list, albeit weak.
