I think that trial has already taken place. People don't act mature on Xbox Live, and that's the reason for the censor in the first place. If people did act with level heads and behaved themselves, a censor would be completely unnecessary.
But that is why I pointed out the mute function, even if people don't act mature we can always just mute them.

The thing that I don’t understand is how your online character in games can use curse words such as Marcus and Dom do in GOW2 but the players themselves can't? Now if they put a censorship only on E and T rated online games and leave M rated games alone then that makes sense but I don’t understand how developers can put curse words into the game but people playing online cant say them. Now if they are going to censor racially derogatory words for all games I am all for that.
microsuck has this a "policy plan" in that "plan" they can do wat ever they like.
as long as it is with in there "policy plan", "policy's" and freedom of speech can work either way.
look at nintendo wii instead of giving them a head set they gave them a speaker phone now that is in technical terms fringes on the freedom of speech.
microsoft can do things to your consoles if need be.as well pcs running microsoft os all they have to do is find your pc or console and send the kill code to it so it cant be used any more

You do realize this really doesn't pertain to Microsoft, since as far as their gaming department, they've been on the come up and have just recently claimed the top spot. Its actually sony who has been on top for the past 10 years and has toppled.
But anywayz Microsoft hasn't started or done anything, its just a ****ing patent and most likely nothing will come out of this. Maybe a future tech or prehiprial, but Microsoft just wanted the tech patented. Companies do it all the time. So i really don't know what the panic is about, Microsft hasnt censored anyone yet, and they probably wont.

while you are right that Walmarts shares are higher than microsofts, and sonys are around there with Microsoft also in the US, Microsoft has the most stock activity. It also has a market cap. value of almost 200 billion dollars, and they have triple the amount of stock as compared to sony. Of course Walmart only doubles Microsoft, it being a highly popular superstore that sells the most jewelry in the US is all , but that's highly irrelevant. If you wanted to talk about anything, how about Nintendo with a 30,000 yen stock compared to sonys 1200?
