i was wondering if anyone knows where to buy the elite for the cheapest?
there is a video game store near me in stewart manor that sells it for $419.99. i think that's pretty good no? i see all the other big stores sell it for $449.99. anyone know if this is a good price? is there a place online to buy it cheaper?
$449.99 isn't a bad price for the elite. I don't know the original price but that sounds like it may have dropped a little? IMO, the elite is just another way for Microsoft to hose you of your money.
There is no difference between the arcade, pro, and elite systems graphically, they all deliver the same thing. The only difference between the 3 are hard drives. The arcade system comes with no hard drive at all, the pro comes with a 20 GB hard drive, and the elite comes with a 120 GB hard drive. I bought the pro system and have had the same hard drive for about 2 years and I still haven't found a way to fill the whole 20 gig's, do you really need 120 gigs?
If I were you I would just by a pro. If you really want the black look for the 360, walk down to your local hardware store, buy a can of black spray paint, and make yourself your own little elite .
that is true but what about the hdmi features? i hear the elite comes with the hdmi cable and the pro doesnt? is that right? i hear the microsoft hdmi cable is $50 so i mean for an extra $20 bucks im getting an extra 100 gigs.
the pro sells for $350
the elite sells for $420 and comes with the hdmi cable
im leaning more towards this i just like to be sure before making a final decision. thanks for ur opinion.
Yeah I'm pretty sure the elite comes with the HDMI cables, but they're not $50 separately are they? I know my friend and I both bought the pro system about 2 years ago and he bought the HDMI cables at radioshack for his 360 and they were only like $30.
I just don't see the point in the elite. It's not like it brings anything different to the table than any of the other 360's besides the color. They all do the same thing and play the same games, I just think it's a waste of money, but that's only my opinion.
So if the elite doesn't come with the cables there is another reason I would never buy one .
But why? I think they make one helluva difference whenever I play my PS3, compared to my 360. By no means am I trying to diss the 360, but HDMI is clearly where it's at!
If I had the HDMI ports on my 360, you can be damn skippy that I'd shell out the extra $ for the cables... probably even some high end cables, at that.
