I mean about all his bad luck, he has got to have some interesting stories to tell!
Not to make fun of your misery, but whatever brigns home the crappy fatty bacon is worth a shot.
The friend I was talking about back the second time your's broke did get his back but one of the lights in the ring doesn't work so he only has 3, it looks super retarded when they are spinning.
Like Sony's is any better? (If anything, its worse)
*ahem*
I wouldn't know, becuase nothing of mine that has SONY written on the side has ****ed up for me to need to call their support. I've posted several times on my escapades on the joke that is the "Xbox Support".
Yah sony's consoles don't really break :\, so you can avoid customer support a lot more often then Microsoft.
If your 360 breaks once, there is a very very higher chance of it breaking, again, and again, and again, after they "Fix it" (Which means they blow air into it and let the console stay off for a few days >_>) But, you are on your 3rd break, usually on the 3rd or 4th break they will send you a new console, which probably isn't new, just someone elses, "less" used console. :p
The thought has crossed my mind. It's frustrating all together and clearly one of the big hassles I've ever had to deal with. Right when that Golf Game started to Load and Froze , I knew exactly what was next.
Still whatever one they give me repaired, I'm just going to sell anyway.

I WOULD know because plenty Sony products of mine have broken down, such as the PS2.
And my 360 has yet to burn out.
If Microsoft's support is a joke, then Sony's must be a full stand-up comedy show.
back to the OP:
NUN, do you think it might be the shipping or anything? Cause electronics can get pretty roughed up in shipping..(Idk, just a guess, it could of contributed to your second crash..)

Good point... after working at UPS a few years ago, I can tell you that no box is really "safe" going through a shipping company.
Whenever I had to send my PS2 in for repairs (which was quite a few times... more times than Nun's 360) I was sure to insure my shipment for slightly more than what the PS2 was priced at when it needed to get the "unable to read disc" message removed from it.
SONY products are much worse than Microsoft in my eyes.
My Brother's PS1 never even worked when he got it out of the box!
I have had 2 PS2's break on my but luckily they have been at times when I needed to buy a new one anyway.
The only problem I have with my 360 is it eat games like nothing! My CoD3 disk is trashed and cutscenes randomly float between English and Chinese/Japanese. I funny actually.
What did those speciality people say to you anyway, Nun?
Good decision on selling it, at least you have the PeeS3 (joke from long time ago) to fall back on..... for the 3rd time!
I hope your luck isn't like this with everything you poor guy.

Then we'll have to agree to disagree, considering niether of us have had to call the other company's customer support.
As for SONY products, all of mine still work perfectly fine. I've had my fatty PS2 for like 5 years, and the damn thing is still like brand new. I hope i can make everything last as long as i have/will with my PS2, i love the little thing.

It's Saturday and I have yet to hear from the " Specialty Group "
Norman the Supervisor informed me in the best broken English that he could, that if someone didn't call me in 2 hours then someone would call me within 48 Hours. If that makes sense
Last Thursday I downloaded the demos for Monster Madness, Command & Conquer 3 and Mini Golf. The 360 sat dormant for two days until Saturday when my wife went to play Viva Piniata while I slept off some Friday night antics. Later that day she tells me something is wrong with the 360, that it kept freezing on her, and that it started as soon as she'd gotten the Chippopotamus in Viva.
I ignored her woes until I went to play my new demos on Sunday, only to find that it was true. With the exception of Lumines, every game I try to play will start and then a quick sound of static comes through the audio and the screen immediately freezes. All demos, all other arcade games, and all disk games.
I deleted the new demos and let the console sit for a couple days until I had time to deal with it. Tonight I got on, and still the problem was there. I reformatted my hard drive, cleared the cache, and did everything that Xbox.com instructed to do. Still, nothing.
I called Xbox support and they're sending me a box to send it in for repair. Yay. No 360 for like 3 weeks. Fantastic.
Well, at least I have Tetris on my phone, and I know Lumines at least works....
It's all fine and good, my warranty is still valid until December of this year. What worries me is what happens after that? The guy told me that the charge for repair is normally $139 plus shipping. It does not give me a warm and fuzzy feeling to think about having a hardware failure less than 6 months into my 360's life, and in 7 months I'll be without a warranty.

Yeah, this is now 3 360's that have died in the past week, yours, NUN's, and Honey's. I am now afraid that mine will also die, and the bad thing about this is I have no extended warranty due to microsoft extending theirs from 90 days to one year. I really don't want mine to phail, because I will break something.
It sucks that you now have to go through all of the trouble that Nun went through.
Everyone pray that no one elses die, and I'm dead ****ing serious.
I think we should pray for Microsoft that no other members' 360s break. I already want to say **** it to mine and sell it, and without any of you guys that would make it alot easier.

This saddens me
It's been more than 3 people on these forums , and my system has messed up 3 times in the past month alone. JAKKMOVE's 360 has gone down also. Then there's the people that we don't even hear about. My system died after I downloaded the Mini Golf Game Demo, and it froze while it was loading , no response, I had no choice but to turn it off manually, and then I turned it back on ang got the Lights.
Even when I get my back, I don't think I can feel comftable ( after 3 repairs ) playing that console and not be paranoid that it's going to break on me again.
I dropped my 360 at UPS yesterday.
Those bastards from the Specialty Group ( or Whatever ) still haven't called me after their , within 48 Hours Promise. It's getting to the point where Enough is Enough .
