Great example but hard to compare the 2 since teamwork is way more emphasised on Socrappy 3 than Socom2. In Socom2 if you had some descent talent you could win just runnin and gunnin and or just doing your own thing. it all really comes down to playstyle, the map, and the talent/players on your team. i myself am a rusher (hence the "rushing 101" at the top stickied) i feel everyone has thier place but will say the best make up for a team of 8 would be...
3 "rushers" (pick different routes and go at it, call out what you see if you have time and try and atleast take someone with you)
2 "grenaders/ tactical members" (basically they will provide the cover for anyone wanting to pick up bomb or for the rushers to make it to where they are going to. once the grenades have been thrown they would move around to different key spots of the map to try and push anyone fromt he other team towards the rushers/snipers if they cant kill them)
3 "fireteam" (these 3 would be the fireteam persay and work as the main "team" of the 8. they are there for support and cover. if things go bad (example: the person on thier team with the bomb gets killed or the other team has the bomb then they would either grab the bomb and move it towards the plant site together while covering all areas or they would backtrack to the base to protect against being planted while covering all areas of approach)
to me this set up is hard to beat even if the other team is camp heavy.the key is though to try your damndest to inflict casualties on the other team with yoru rusher. at times its easy and at times you get whiped out but to me its a nescassary evil because a well timed and placed rush can seriously put a dent in the other team and really throw them off to where you have time to handle yo buisness ;) :P
great discussion though and gives some insight into how other play and feel about this.
