Burst fire or full auto

i have heard about people using burst fire on m14's and all other fully automatics in socom 2 to keep the recoil down and keep it more accurate? i have tried the burst fire but it dose not work out for me at all except for when i use the m16 with that burst im fairly good with that gun for some reason. What do you guys prefer using and do you think theres a differance between using the burst or full auto with recoil and accuracy?

i use burst/single shot if im sniping(or long range shooting) with the sd guns, 552 included. if im in furefights its full auto only. (except with m16, which is burst all the time) m4 in burst (whether you select it or just release the button every few shots) is much more accurate over distance than full auto, as auto has a tendency to hit everything but what your aiming at.

unless your like a foot in front of the guys face. Ill burst so matter what. If im using an auto, m4, m14 etc and Im in front of him by a few feet ill hold down the trigger...but if he moves too far off my screen Ill let go and readjust.

Any veteran will tell ya that full auto is good for spray and pray action. burst fire, though, is good for taking the accurate road in a firefight. usually 3-5 rounds per busrt is good, but with certain guns, like the hk's, it doesnt really matter. on the hksd the first two or three shots have strong recoil, but after the third shot, the crosshairs remain fairly consistent, therefore u can get the same accuracy out of holdin the button down with it as u would burst firing it.

Burst is the way to do it no matter what. Especially for mid to long range shots.

I use brust fire at mid-range. as soon as i get up close and personal, i swtch to full-auto

With M14, It is best to burst at 20M and beyond.
The M16, It is best to use 1 bullet burst to line up far away headshots (assuming you only get 1 shot at them before they figure out that they are being shot at).
M4A1SD- Fully auto about 50 meters and less (then I tend to try bursting as the gun's little recoil makes it difficult to use at distance unless you happen to get lucky).
M4A1-Never use the gun, couldn't tell you.
HK5,F90,HK5SSD- Fully auto all the time for me! (HK5 especially)
9MM,HK5K- These are guns that you'll want to burst long range. The HK5K has ROUGHLY 50% accuracy at long range shots, making these SMGs difficult to get far range headshots with.

These are the only primary guns I usually use in a normal game other than the M14/M4A1. Good luck, hope I could help.

personally i love the M-14 on single...if ther is no lag and you can push the button fast enough its very deadly because it is a lot more acurate and its only 2 or 3 shots to kill someone..it might take a few rounds to get use to it so dont give up if you dont get 8 kills the first time you try but it works

552...it is good in short burst...not 3 round burst bacause it is to slow but maybe 5 or 6 round burst...it uses the same bullet and the M4A1 but it is just slower and not as widely used but it is an awsome gun

the only gun the i just "spray and pray" is the STG-77...its acually pretty good on full auto because it has so much recoil it is very hard to use in bursts

When I DO use the M14, I burst it from far and full auto recoil in they're face when im up-close and personal.

PS: I love smelling they're hair when they die.
