Offensive Claymore Tactic

This tactic I have been using for a while, usually when im sniping. Because im usually shorthanded (sort of) with my pistol against a rifle, i use claymore OFFENSIVELY no i got that right. I use it defensively as well. What i do is if i see a terrorist close to me. I will try to lose him around a corner. As soon as you turn the corner drop a claymore (make sure its the right way

) hit the deck and as soon as the terrorist rounds the corner...bye,bye.

I try this but usually by the time i find a terrorist is shooting at me he is so close that i get killed while planting. This tactic works better imo as a terr w/ pmn's.

its a judgement call. If the terr is really close by use your grenades and drop those behind you instead of clays. if he's far enough drop your clays. The reason dont like the nade tactic is theres a good chance you wont time the nade right. with claymore your timing cant go wrong

When I'm thelast one alive, I like planting claymores that are terribly obvious, then hiding out far from them and sniping every fool who "knows" where you are. :)

I don't think thats a very good tactic if you're trying to get kills offensively because most people will keep running after a sniper if they go around a corner.

Also the offensive use of PMNs can't really be done since theres about a 5 second delay on the arming mechanism so most of the time the other guy or you will be dead by the time its ready to go off.

I have used claymores offensively many times before though. Usually I plant them on snipers when they're in scope and can't see me. Especially since a lot of inexperienced snipers usually stay in scope and don't check their surroundings every once in a while.

the point is when you see the terrorist you round the corner drop a claymore and wait. this all has to happen before the terr rounds the corner. and when they round the corner, boom.

its not that complicated and it has worked on numerous occasions

this does work quiet nicely , it works best on levels with straight building turns , mainly crossroads.

i have a habit of sniping from behind something, as thats how its done, going ontop of stuff is a bad idea. plant your claymore facing you while your hiding behind something. put the detonator on quick select. noone notices where you wer ehiding, they notice you. run away, when you see them, blow it. kills them 99% of the time, the other 1% theyre cheating or fall, so just hg em. i do the same thing with pmns, but its harder not to kill yourself. i also like mining/claymoring around a known spot and sniping it from far away, like someone said before.
