Enowapi Basement Assault

When there are like 1 or 2 terrorists left and you know they are hiding in the basement, one watching the main ramp and the other possibly back him up or watching the ladder entrance, how do you go about beating them?

I always try getting 2-3 seals and just storming it, but that has a 50/50 chance of working.

I usually drop a grenade down the ladder and run around to the main gate and just start shooting then run back around to the ladder and hop in with my night vision on.

Your only real hopes are surprise or surperior numbers. If you can rush down without warning, you may be able to kill someone. Otherwise, you'll probably need a large group so that you can overwhelm any defense.

i usually throw flash grenades down the hole and once their blinde i go down and kill them

That's a tough situation, and it happens all the time.

What I do varies on who is alive, and what I know the enemy has. 9 times out of 10 the ramper camper has an M3 or an M14 so it's not wise to bum rush him.

For the ramp,

A good grenade works out nicely from the MGL turret (don't move the turret, just fire - it automatically flies in there... from what I've heard from other players at least). This can work well if you:[list:691149af0d]
Take a sniper rifle or pair of binoculars from the MGL turret, keeping an eye for when a terrorist shows himself in the ramp.
Have a second teammate that trusts you by the ramp, ready to jump in (I suggest saying you'll fire 3 shots so he can count and go in)

[*]Another way to get rid of him is to walk to the left railing of the ramp, go into first person view and walk along slowly up the railing - in 1st person view you can see half of a stupid terrorist camping the corner and either kill him or piss him off. Also while prone you can narrowly lob a grenade down there nicely, but it's a narrow shot.[*]Jump backward (not sideways) onto the ramp, running backward so you pop out of nowhere. The terrorist will be surprised and won't be immediately accurate if he is not confident. It's a nice way to surprise him/her nonetheless though.[/list:u:691149af0d]

For the ladder,

Throw a grenade down there and slide and pray you won't get shot up.
Look down via 1st person view by walking up next to the ladder, you can see a bright circle to tell if there is a mine at the bottom or not.
Go down the ladder, but pause about 1/8th of the way down so you can get used to the darkness without falling all the way (it works - just wait... this way if you make it down safely, you won't have to wait to get used to the light).[list:691149af0d]
- REMEMBER TO BE SURE NOT TO GO DOWN TOO FAR. IF A TANGO IS WAITING FOR YOU AT THE BOTTOM HE'LL SEE YOUR FEET IF YOU GO TOO FAR.

This is what I've done NUMEROUS times when I'm the last one left versus 1 or 2 guys in the basement... and it works:

1) First, drop a nade down the ladder, don't wait for it to blow - run back to the ramp entrance, chuck a nade or two down there and shoot a little bit - basically cause a commotion. Run back to the ladder, and chuck one more nade over to the ramp, then immediately slide down the ladder as fast as possible.

2) Hopefully at this point, they will mainly be looking at the front entrance while you slide down. Now don't go running in there, PRONE, and slowly crawl into the main basement area. (Keep an eye out for mines - if mines in the hallway, try to crawl around them. If you can't, repeat step 1 - throw a nade at it, then go back up the ladder ASAP and cause a commotion in the front again, then repeat step 2)

3) Basically you want to get into the main basement area UNDETECTED. It's hard for them to notice you proning and crawling. Try and get through the little hallway to the main basement, then go right and crawl RIGHT of the bomb plant. If you've made it this far, you can probably get the win.

4) Hang out there and try and see where they are hiding. Don't go blazing your guns at them, FIRST chuck a few nades if you have any left. Then if theres still one or two alive, rush in there right behind your nade and shoot them up before they can realize where you are and what your doing.

Like I said, I've pulled this off for the win on numerous occassions, but not EVERY time, of course. You can usually do it once per game for the win, and I have yet to see a better strategy against those guys in the basement.

Oh yeah, if theres 2 of you, just have one guy cause a constant commotion at the ramp entrance while you sneak in the back.

THE BEST WAY TO GO IS THE RAMP.
get a sniper up on the deck and have him snipe the bottem of the ramp to draw out the terriorst have some guy walk alittle past half and throw a gernade then slowly follow the gernade and blast the corner. he will have to step out to kill you and then bam sniper shot if he moves back then you got him with gernades and numbers up too storm it.

yes thats a common, but good strategy. IT can also take a toll on the nervousness of the camping terrorist. Probably making him more cautious about popping out. Use this to your advantage by popping down fast and hard before he can react.

But generally confusion is the best weapon when attacking the basement, get the enemy confused and youll have a good fighting chance

What i want try and do: Scare anyone away from the first corner at the base of the ramp with grenades, and then plant clays against the ramp wall facing the bombzone. Blow those clays as you run in and the explosion and smoke will cover your gunfire and movement whilst scaring camping terrs.

You say it like the enemy players are computer robots - I'm sure they won't be scared to see a big cloud of gray dust and stuff appear in a frequently grenaded place.
