Whats the point of crouching and strafing when you can prone? It just makes you a bigger target.

Touche. Thats exactly what i always do. I hardly ever crouch. If i can get the shot when im proned then ill take it.

If you're detected, i'd advise you to not stay proned in one spot. One of the key advantages to sniping, is to snipe other snipers. If you're detected, you want to jump around and a bunch of other ****, and then start to strafe a little to one side, and mix it up a little once you see the other guy trying to shoot at you, so the opposing sniper has a harder time hitting you.

Once again, if you're NOT detected, do your best to steady the scope and go for the shot. Which includes proning, or whatever you think works better for you.

It helps me get the crosshairs onto the target for some reason. but yeah i also snipe in prone and undetected.
