Well, made another one. I think I'm going to make a thread with all my tactical maps, once I make more.
I will be posting strategic tactics for SEALs and Terrorists for this map.
Here is another addition to the maps I am breaking down. Vigilance was the first map, and Desert Glory is only the second.
Using a Vig map provided by SeaSnipers, I sketched some critical control/rushing/sniping/etc. points for SEALs and Terrorists, in Desert Glory.
I advice you to have the map open while reading this.
DESERT GLORY
SEALs

The first thing you will notice as a SEAL, is that you have three seperate ways to move beyond your spawn point. These three ways are drawn in
white. I will break each route down for you.
Rushing left can get you to the Hostage room quicker (routes colored in
pink), but you are in a bottle neck until running out in the open. A small building is located just beyond the opening of the left bottleneck, and it can play a role as a safe house from grenades landing on that side of the map (building circled in
blue). Once you are in the clearing, you can rush the entire left side of the map, including the Hostage room.
Rushing up the middle can get you control of a huge portion of the map (boxed in
green), but you run the risk of more grenades, and snipers. A nice sniping are is located on the left and right once you get past the large bottleneck of this route. The cafe is located on your left, and has a window that can be great for sniping, and it also has a second room with a door leading to the left side of the map. The right portion of this route has a small ledge with shadow covered ground along the ledge, and can be a great sniping spot. These sniper locations are circled in
yellow, along with a sniper location on the right side route.
Rushing the right is where you run into the most grenades. If you plan on rushing right, you better spawn near the right side, for grenades will fly over the Strip Tower. This building has two levels, the lower level cpntains two windows, great for sniping, while the top level has no roof, and can be another great location for sniping. You can jump down from the second level, and rush The Strip, entering the Terrorist left side spawn (right side to SEALs). This route is sketched in
cyan, but be carfeful, for The Strip has many hiding places.
If your team can push forward in a three route motion, you will control a huge portion of the map.
SEALs can camp in only a few selected places. The two main places are the SEAL spawn, and the Strip Tower (right side), and these two main locations are circled in
red. While at the SEAL spawn, you literally will not have cover from every angle. If you decide to camp by the truck, you are in the open, so have your weapon ready, or claymores ready to blow. You can camp behind a few rocks at the spawn, but you leave some angle of fire exposed. The Strip Tower offers more protection, and can be covered fairly easy. Although, once a terrorist knows you are there, get ready for a grenade fest.
With each route you take, you face a different challenge, so don't underestimate your enemy.
DESERT GLORY
TERRORISTS
MAP OF TERRORISTS, DESERT GLORY <-- Click here
When you start as a terrorist in Desert Glory, you find yourself in one of the two seperate spawn points. If you start on the right spawn point (nearest hostage room), you can get to two key buildings/areas with little to no danger. The first area, which is the most important in this map, is the hostage room (circled in
orange). The second area, which plays crutial roles in sniping, is called The Ruins. You have the Front Ruins, and the Back Ruins. The Front Ruins are circled in
blue, and the Back Ruins are circled in
red.
If you find yourself on the left spawn, chances are you will end up rushing the left, sniping the left, or hauling *** over to the right spawn.

Key locations while on the left side are The Strip (circled in
cyan), The Garage (circled in
green), and what I like to call The Valley (circled in
white).
Sniping locations for the right are all over the place. From The Ruins to the Hostage Room, you can find a very great sniping location.
Sniping locations on the left aren't as great as the right, and are hard to come by. These sniping locations are circled in
yellow. If you have snipers at these key locations, you can cover a large portion of the map (boxed in
pink).
Rushing as a terrorist can be hell on Earth for the SEALs. Mix the terrorist rushers, the grenade throwing, and automatic weapons, and you have a team that will win.
Rushing on the right side of the map will slow down the quickest route for SEALs trying to reach the Hostage Room. You can also branch off from the right, and rush the middle, taking over the Three Story Building. Rushing the left can easily result in a take over of the SEAL spawn, and you can proceed to flank and remaining SEALs. Rushing routes are drawn in
black.
Terrorists have many great camping spots. They can hide anywhere in The Ruins, in the Hostage Room (most important camping location), or just about anywhere else. The downside to a lot of camping locations as a terrorist, is that each one can be flanked quite easily, so don't camp in a "flankable" area for too long.
Again, sorry if the maps are a bit messy, but I hope you can see what I'm trying to say.
Be sure to check back for more tactical strategies, I will certainly be writing more for other maps.
