Yeah but since the DE is best close range, you need your grenades out so his gun doesn't go up when he gets closer.
Either way, having your handgun on Quick 1 is simply the best.
No matter what happens, when you need your handgun, you need it quick.
If you need your rifle again, just pull it out manually. It's not like your going to be going back and forth all that much. I hope if your sniping guys they are pretty far away, so why need the rifle on Quick 1? You got plenty of time to go back to the rifle if you threw some nades or whatever.
When enemies get up close, it's a lot easier to just hit Quick 1 and move than dodge and manually scroll through your little menu to the DE.
Plus with the DE if your going up against several guys you gotta dip and move, blast one and run the other way and hide real quick and pull out your nade or mine so the enemies gun don't go up. Then hopefully get another guy. If your sitting there with just the DE they will know where you are as soon as they get close.
Plus you can't just sit there and fire out in the open. Seals will just move back out of range and blast you.
I think it's pretty important to always have nades on Quick 2, even if you don't have any... for the simple reason their gun won't go up.. thats key and if you don't run around with your nades out, you should do it more often.
And anyway, having your handgun on Quick 1 makes the sniping life a lot easier, DE or Mark 23 SD, it doesn't matter. When you need your handgun you need it NOW and you also want to be able to switch back and forth to nades easily. Half of being a sniper is being good with the handgun, cause those guys aren't going to stay on the other side of the map forever. If you get killed its probably going to be close up, and rather than notice the guy at the last second and then be dead while you switch to your handgun, you want to be able to move and just hit Quick 1. Anyway I hope I made my point....
