M4A1(SD) on certain maps?
The more powered weapon is the M4A1, but you have to know when it should be used. For instance, in a Jungle map it's smart to use the M4A1 SD; but, I feel that on Desert maps, you should use the M4A1.
(This is for people who like to be SEALs)
Insanely horrible grammar and Caps Lock Fixed. Topic also moved to Tips and Tactics (I think it fits there) -Cheesy

You should invest in a new Caps Lock button because yours seems to be broke. :P Try not to post everything in caps because I have noticed this in all of your posts.
Anyway, it is the same gun so it has the same amount of power basically. The added length of the barrell takes away some of the power but Zipper did not incorporate that into the game.

In any dark map at all it should be the gun to use unless your sniping.

When you go into the armory and look at the bars, it does show that the M4A1SD is more accurate (logical due to the longer barrel) and less powerful. I don't think that Zipper actually put that into the game, in game it is much more accurate, but essentially the same power. In real life, putting a suppressor on a weapon doesn't really take the power down. It slows down the velocity a few meters per second but the hit will still be the same.
I rarely use the M4A1SD even when in maps where silence is of the essence. It is just personal preference. I never got to use a silenced weapon in the military so I usually won't use it here. I also have a hard time using SD guns (Except the H&K MP5SD) because I never know when I am firing. Sometimes I think I was shooting a guy and when I look at my ammo I only fired 9 rounds. It is a problem I have, most people don't have it.
I don't really understand the point of the thread though. Any gun you choose is your preference. My preference is to use weapons that are U.S. military issue for the SEALs and usually the 552 for terrorists because that is a SIG Sauer and a good weapon in real life. Other people have their preferences.

Depends on your mood, not necessarily the map. I love the SD because of its limited recoil! Its better on more darker maps, that use more stealth instead of those rush and pray situations.

Well the gun is great, I use it almost all the time on seals unless sniping. putting SD is just feeling even know it makes almost no diff besides recoil and noise. Great overall gun!

I use it on maps where it's not all out battle. All out battle maps include Frostfire, Desert Glory, Crossroads, etc. On maps that are larger and stealthier, I use the SDs. My favorite M4A1SD maps include Blizzard, Nightstalker, Abandoned, Sandstorm.. anywhere you are trying to be stealthy and not give away your position... BTW you can do 'stealth rushes' with the SDs.. I like going right on Nightstalker and doing this.. Usually theres only a couple guys on the far right you can dispatch.. and then the entire map opens up to you, and you can often kill plenty of Terrorists who have no clue where you are.

The SD definitely has less power that the regular M4a1. You're sacrificing power for stealth and accuracy. I don't use the SD in all-out maps, like Al says. I went 16 and 5 last night with the M4a1, something I couldn't have done with the SD in a map like Crossroads. It all really depends on what you want. Killing from a silent distance or mowing down your enemies in a loud firefight. The M4a1 is definitely stronger, though. I use it every time.

the sd is more accurate and three shot burst from it, well placed, equals one kill. with the regular, it's less accurate, loud an anoying. i'd rather be raping people stealth and get more kills because people won't find you after the first kill.

A "well-placed burst" from ANY gun will land you a kill. The thing is that 90% of the time you won't get that kind of chance. This is why the greater damage produced by the M4a1 can save you life rather than the pea shooter M4a1 SD. In a regular firefight, it is better to produce as much damage as possible. You won't always get chest shots nor head shots. You're going to hit the arms, waist, and other parts evey once in a while. Naturally, this dramatically cuts down the gun's damage, so it's better to deal as much damage as you can as quickly as possible, rather than take a risk with the SD in a firefight.
The SD is an amazing gun, don't get me wrong. But IF THE ENEMY HAS ALREADY SEEN YOU, then the silenced factor of the SD is useless, thus it is better and safer to mow them down with the M4a1 since it does more damage. If the enemy hasn't seen you, and you can pop a few in their head with the SD while they look for you, then go for it. But if both players are aware of each other's location, the SD won't help you out.
Naturally, you also have to take your surroundings into account. It may be wiser to be silenced in a map such as Blizzard, but it's worth nothing in an arena like Frostfire.
