Also, any constant snipers will notice the good days, bad days. Some days it doesn't matter what map you play you can get at least 7 or 8 kils constantly. Other days, you're lucky if the shaking crosshairs accidentaly land on the guy when you shoot. O boy, on those bad days you're lucky to not get voted out.

well when i first stared socom i played as a sinper 75-80% of the time but i was not good at it at all then i keep trying to find my skill, what im good at. Well long story short after becomeing a failer at snipeing i rush or use tactic to win but all that time as a sniper i still play as one. EX. im in night staker and i see some one to the right rushing before i even try to shot/throw a granade i call him out then try to take him out if not i keep doing whatever im doing (rushing left, mid, finding cover from enemey fire...ect)
60-75% of the times it seems no one even knows i called it out (in open rooms). In my clan the snipers act like real snipers and there damn good ones as well they call anything they see and take only 1-2 shots from the same place then move, as they move to dif place then they call for back up if needed. ( i help alot) when im in open rooms or playing with my friends/clan i have a lot of respect for snipers that call enemeys out as they see them i know how it feels to call someone out 100 mins before they see anyone and next game someone screams at you for not shooting him and saveing your teammates life.

ive noticed in heavy sniper maps like night stalker and fox having a few good snipers can get alot of kills and prevent enemies from rushing. like one time when i was playing ns we had about 5 snipers, but they were all good, and the enemies stopped rushing completely, when they went to hide in their spawn we tore them apart from the mountain, we whooped them the whole game and noone was really calling anybody out

I do the same thing, because if i call out first, then by the time that im done telling everyone exactly where he is (he's um....behind the building, um....over on the right....by the tree......etc), he is gone. I would rather take a shot, and if i miss, while i am relocating or looking for him again, call him out.

And like wite flite said, if you have a full sniper team, communication is not as essential, since it is very likely that at least one other sniper on your team has the guy in his/her scope.

well what if snipers cant communicate say like me there mic dont work? the only time i ever call anyone out is if i see a bunch of people running in one place or there is a few people left

i use my i see someone message the way you guys talk i should set with my scope on the bomb i see someone pick it up i should say i just saw someone if your going to scout dont bother bringing a sniper rifle use a gun with bnocs unless you plan to use the gun

just today i was useing m60 and rpg in ruins the seals whould set and camp there spawn and i whould rpg it they whould see me because it was really far away misty ext

also if i here sniper shot it dosent slow anything down for me usualy unless its a map i dont play because you already know where the sniper is like crossroads you run from the bridge to the bomb place you here bam you idmetently look towards there spawn right? or you basicly look there if there not there you look at the other direction its all common sense really

the thing i dont like about calling out then shooting is that, most shots you have are TIME SENSITIVE. If you call him out then go for the shot he'll probably be gone. so i say shoot first and if you miss tell your teammates where he is going. maybe its cuz i usually use the sr-25sd. silenced so if i shoot detection isnt that big a problem.

I agree about taking necessary shots first. but i think its EVERYONES job to call people out. Ive been in a few situations where everyone dies all of a sudden and im the only one left with no idea (other than the team mates close enough to me to see their names fade) where the other team is. If you call them out as soon as you see em then it helps your team if you dont make it through the firefight. If you get him, theyll see it scroll across the top. NOT JUST THE SNIPERS SHOULD CALL EM OUT!!!

When ever they tell me 2 help them I just say, "Help ur self" and ignore them. If they start complaining just mute em! (This is if they are critisizing my skills, I have been sniping since SOCOM 1 first came out so they don't even compare)(Keep in mind I am very out going, but it makes me mad to see people talk on what they don't know)(So don't take my outrages here as my overall mood)

A request for help isn't bad, its when they start yelling and blaming you is when it gets bad.
