Some people think its useless.

I was playing a LAN game with my friend today, and I was hiding in the shadows of a building as a terrorist on Desert Glory. He ran right by me, as in right in front of me without noticing. I started to trail him, making sure he didnt hear or see me, then i popped a shot off and went to prone on the ground in a shadow. He turned around and started shooting, he couldnt find me.

After he finally hit me with a grenade while I was looking for more shadowy places to hide, the new round started, and I dropped down to his spawn point where i noticed him camping on the nearest building with a sniper.

I climbed up behind him and dropped a grenade in front of me, luckily he got away though. He jumped off the building for show in case i was watching, then climbed back up. Fact is, I was right in front of him beside the ladder.

Then, believe it or not, the moron finally noticed that the yellow wasnt dirt but a jacket, and slid down the ladder and killed me.

So thats just to go to show that you shouldnt think stealth is pointless, because it really comes in usefull on a dark map.

And no, he isnt a noob, he's better then me, and I'm pretty good.

Well he sounds like a newb, but I agree stealth works. I can't count how many times my wife, and I have sat in a bush with our nades out...Waited and watched guys run by us in the distance..Then we chase them down with our nades still out so we don't alert them, and their gun goes up...Once we get close, and have a good shot....Pull out your gun and kill them...Once you pull your gun out, their gun goes up, and they know you are close, so be sure you have a good shot, before you pull your gun out..

Yea, thanks for telling me about the grenade/gun trick, I'll use that on him tomorrow.

I use the SR-25SD and hide in a bush. i can pop off shot after shot and they wont find me. and i can do this repeatedly in a round and itll still work...course next round theyll be on to me cuz of the blasted zoom

I think the zoom does kinda suck...Shows them exactly where you were at...I guess it helps for when people think someone is cheating, to be able to see they shot you from far away...I guess that is why they have it...I don't know...

The zoom is annoying. On a respawn, every kill you have to move a bit, or lay some pmk mines or something at the doorway.

When I play LAN Games at my school lunch hour with my two friends, I'll confuse them by shooting one, then the other, then they think they're shooting at each other.

But when I finally get a headshot on them both, they team up on me and kill me. So the zoom really gets on your nerves.
