Why won't you tell us how to do the dolphin dip? If you're trying to help people doesn't withholding information just mess it up?

its all in how you time the pressing of the triangle button. press to dive, as soon as your hitting the ground press again and you hop right back up.easier to show than tell and takes practice.

It's just the prone-stand-prone-stand movement.. I'm sure you know what I'm referring to.. Thats why I don't describe how to do it.. It's easy with a little practice... and most people can figure it out...

I think it would be better accompanied with some in-game footage (such as for the 'Dolphin Dip') and/or audio feed (such as the "be a leader!" parts).

I give it a 7 out of 10, primarily due to the boring "black&white" (actually 'black&tan' but whatever) formatting, and the [somewhat] exclusion of some fundamental ideas — mostly in the 'be a leader' section. There was many topics left out, but the tips were good. Not what I would honestly call "advanced," but it's up there

Still good and worthy of being made, but it got a bit boring to read after a while to me. I didn't see any valuablility in the FAQ to cause you to require "large sums of money" for leasing though. Whatever though - it's your thing :?

I just wanted to post to say thanks to AL GIORDINO for making an awesome tips & tactics section. I just started playing SOCOM II in FEB after getting sick of my buddies at work raving about this game. After getting raped the first couple weeks online, I went looking for some 'noob' advice and stumbled across this website. Thanks to AL for making this kick @ss tip & tactics post, it is perfect for someone like myself, thanks and keep'em coming!

Let's be honest, friendly kills happen all the time. Everyone is greedy for that kill, so they shoot their teammate in the head along with their enemy! It's happened to everyone, and everyone is guilty of it! Example-when in a firefight with 2 or more seals/terr try and weave around and let the friendly fire do your job and help you live! What happens when there are 2 or 3 on 1, greed or just pure carnage sets in and everyone WANTS THAT KILL NOMATTER WHO DIES!!!! It's rare that players show control and don't blast their friend along with the enemy whose right there! So jump in the middle of a group of guys and start firing, and bobbin and weavin. If two guys are facing each other and shooting you in the middle, theres a good chance they will kill each other along with you.. it's the same as getting 2 kills and dying, which is awesome. Usually you will see a team kill in this instance so make sure to put yourself in the middle, if theres a chance you could die to help your team by hurting thiers. Theres nothing you can really do except going nuts, shooting, bobbin and weaving, and trying to position yourself where the enemy will be shooting each other. (Okay heres another tactic, surround yourself with guys and have a teammate nade you! Thats right, cause a big commotion, get as many guys around you as possible, and blow them all up! I'd sacrifice myself to get 2-3 guys any day of the week! Let your team know what your going to do ahead of time so they know to nade when they hear/see you battling. This comes in handy in so many situations. Remember, living isn't what counts. Killing isn't what counts. WINNING counts. (Then come the secondary goals of getting kills for yourself and living.)

One time 2 seals were doubleteaming me and I dolphin diped and they both shot each other in the head.lol

Hey guys I am just posting to let you all know I totally revamped my FAQ today. In addition to a number of new and helpful tactics, I expanded the majority of existing tactics. BY FAR this FAQ is now at it's best. It's more comprehensive and more detailed. I also reordered the different tactics so it makes more sense when your reading it from #1 to #30. Previously I would just add tips to the bottom of the FAQ in a random order as I would think of them. It makes more sense now.

I also reworked some things so now instead of this FAQ being mainly for players who are already veterens, it has a lot more information on helping newer players acquire those advanced, veteren skills. At the same time, it has not lost it's focus of improving the gameplay of players who think they already are the best, and already know everything. I guarantee that even the best players can learn from this FAQ.

really surprised on how much this has helped me...not sure if its ok wit u but i printed it out adn everytime i die in a round i always read the part tht i f'ed up on...its just practice tht makes perfect.

Dude thats an awesome idea and should help you get a lot better! Good thinking.

Yeah you can definately print it out if you want. I made it in Word and then just cut and pasted it so you can do the opposite if you want to print out a copy without all the forum info and all the replies. Just cut and paste it to Word and it should fit perfect.

If you have friends who play, give a copy to whomever you want. Tell people in your clan or friends list about it, just in case they want to print out their own copy.

Here is a good tip too. When you have any gun that is not a sniper rifle be sure to have 2x ammo unless you're in a room with not many people, and have gernades on quick 2. You never usually ever run out of ammo and have to pull your pistol out and should put the quick 2 on gernades; Because when i run around i have my gernades out so enemies' guns won't go up and know your around. I think my gernades save me more than my pistol. If you have the M14 though i recommend to keep on eye on how many mags you have and when you run real low put pistol on quick 2 just incase. Also you pick up ammo from dead bodies, and honestly i have ran out of ammo about 3 times.
