Snipe Spots

Hey, I've been sniping for about nine months.. I wanted to talk to some other snipers, figure out who's got the best spots in the maps. I've got some decent ones.. but i was wonderin if there were better areas.

ummm im a sniper when i feel like it and i got good spots but not the exat location.... u should buy the strategy guide for the best spots,weapons,and help :D

You work for Socom game inc? lol. Dude, that's like someone asking "What's your favorite gun?" and you responding saying "If you buy the guide, it will tell you." He posted so he can hear OUR favorites. There might be some that aren't even in the book.

I don't snipe a lot. I'm going to start so I wouldn't mind hearing others also.

There's a Socom strategy guide? Didn't know that.

I don't snipe a lot, but when I do, it's usually Foxhunt. Two spots I use are the grass in front of the turret, and the hill kind of below the bird bath. They aren't that good though because usually the better players notice you there and either shoot you in the head or blow you up with nades.

I snipe alot but i change position all the time.
Changing position is the way of the best sniper.
To just sitt and camp some where with a sniper will easyilli get u killed, u might have 1 maybe 2 good rounds in 1 spot, but after that ull easyelli get jacked...

imagine you are on the other side and rushing. what would you do, where would you go. Now go back into the side your on realizing now what the enemy is going to do (face it, everyone does the same thing). Now counter what you would have done. Best way to snipe, you stay one step ahead.

I just run with my sniper. I dont sit in one place, i will pull it out when need be.

My favourite sniping spots for certain levels are like this....

Blizzard - On the side of the cliff by the Seals spawn, Perfect view of the bomb house and remaining hills below the cliff.

Nightstalker - In the small bushes & grass by both Terrorist & Seals spawn and on the mountain by Seals spawn.

Foxhunt - On the sides of the mountains are good places to snipe, better cover if you lie in prone and in the long grass.

^^^yeah when i see a guy in the distance ill pull my rifle out. but at the start of the round ill rush a vantage point to pick off other snipers and rushers.

a common strategy i do is go to a spot, snipe a guy. then the next round (if the guy knows where i got him from cuz of the zoom

) ill cover my old spot so if he rushes my other spot ill pick him off from another spot! its great for covering your tracks!

and i usually have my better games with a sniper rifle eg.11-4,18-8,13-1. whats also helpful is the SR-25SD, which i use in big maps like enowapi,sandstorm,ruins. its SOOOOOO easy to win a round outnumbered. i once won a round 5-1 as a seal in sandstorm with the SR!

The key is never to stay in the same spot. Make every shot count don't miss. Only shoot when you know you have a good shot or you will reveil your position. I like to go up high on maps myself.
