Personally my best tip would be if you can get someone to help you pratice against a friend in a respawn room. have them run around maps and pick your spot, just get good at different spots, you want an area with a good view.

Its a good way to get used to the gun, you never going to benefit from anything more than straight game play grenades flying around, but good starting tricks. 10

Because M82A1A is a .50 Cal and The M87ELR is a .308 Lapua Mag. it shoots.
I do a Scout Sniper School on Socom 2. If anyone needs help sniping,good spots,weapons=mines/claymore spots,How to practice sniping,How to warm-up in sniping,plus more,ect. |

wow....anyway, if youre just learning to snipe, use an M40...its sounds insane, but trust me. The gun is rock solid. You can stand and shoot, and it will be steadier then an M82A1A while in prone. Its fire rate is fast (for a sniper rifle), and it has the power of an M14. You NEED a head shot with this, because most of the time, you won't get a second chance for a body shot. Use it for a straight week, no matter the map, and you WILL own with it.

Well to keep it simple: High-power Sniper Rifle (One Hit Kill) and no Thermal Scope (it shortens your scopeing range). Oh yeah, and use your natural instincts!

I haven't sniped at all before, ever, and I'm thinking of starting after reading this topic, but I don't know what gun I should use. Some people say I should use the M401A or something like that, and some say I should use the M87 or the M82? What should I use if I'm completely new to sniping?
