You don't need to be in sniper position most of the time. As a matter of fact, I HIGHLY discourage it. Instead of laying down like a dead duck, stay hidden behind objects and use the 3rd person view to your advantage to scan the environment. Once you see a target or targets, you can pop out, jump in scope, and pick off someone in less than a second, then hide again.

To ransom smith sniping is about two things timing of shot and timing of position. To be a good sniper you must have multiple positions and know when it is time to leave them for example i play foxhunt a lot so heres a good example. a few terrorists charge down the hill at the begining of each game run to the bathhouse and stand just to its left and scan for the terrorists. Watch for where ur team are and where they r goin down.unless u have multiple shots on you must move after your first shot.If your team says they r comin dwn ur right run across and lie on the edge of the hill and pick them off and if they are coming down the left of the hill or the river then peg it down and use my fav spot which is extremley hard to spot from a distance. crouch on the gray patch on the rock directly bellow the turrret face it sounds like suicide but trust me. if ur getting hammered find a spot u can cover ur remainingt team from. ABANDONED: Great Terrorist sniping spot is in the right passage, by the lone piece of the wall (far right of the map from Terrorist spawn), facing toward the Seal left tunnel. From here you have clear shot inside the tunnel, and on the platform/stairs just outside the tunnel....and also you have enough time to pull out the handgun if you miss and they are running in your direction.

CROSSROADS: Great spot is far left of the Terrorist spawn, in the corner and on the ledge - looking down the clearing in front of the Seal medical facilty and straight toward Seal spawn.

Always have handgun as your secondary weapon, otherwise you are f'd and defenseless when someone runs into you.

Another good tip is if your laying down make sure you find out how low you can point your aimer without hitting the ground. I've seen people shoot and be like WTF I hit him but they really shot the ground.

Not really a tip. But I thought this would be a good place to post. I saw a great series on the History channel, last night. It was a four part series, on history of sniping. If you missed it, maybe they'll show it again. Or, I think you can go to the History channel on-line site, and buy it. It really had some great info. Showed some of the newer weapons and techniques.

i put the crosshairs on the guy then go into the scope so i can pull the trigger really fast and it cuts down on missed snipes that can lead to your ultimate death

I personally like the thermal scope for pointing out mines in those hard to see maps. Its also VERY good for dark maps. I mean, no point in being able to zoom in however many times, and can hardly see them. Thermal scope is awesome for stuff like that.

Frostfire can actualyl be a good sniping level as a seal. The yellow tower is good and the box all the way to the left is good also for overviewing the deck they start on. But I suggest that a few guys go that way as well seeing as that is one of the primary battle areas.

my favorite sniping spot has to be in desert glory terrorist... if u spawn on the far left side then you can lay down next to the broken down building way in the back and watch over the seal building all of the seals drop down from... you get them a lot if they are rushing you or if they are standing up there shoooting at one of your guys
