I beg to differ, with the patch (I beleive) it changed that and doesn't kill your enemy in one shot, nor do thigh shots.....

One small tip, if you've fired at somebody at least 2-3 times, and HAVN'T killed them, even if your scope is still on them and you are still shooting, CALL THEM OUT....because it seems you can't kill them, maybe a teammate can.


Here's a question that I'm just curious about for you all:

When you are sniping...do you lead the guy you're shooting at, or put your crosshairs infront of him kind of and wait? I've tried leading, but instincts always tell me to place crosshairs forword and wait for him....I usually don't lead...what do you guys do?

I lead, easier than waiting because at least if you miss, you can get a second chance.

I ususally just put the crosshairs on the guy and then pull the trigger. Even when they are running just lock the crosshairs on the guy. I sometimes wait if im having an off day.

Don't use thermal scope... unless you need to see into bushes...

don't look at one spot... peripherial vision

You need good timing and MOST OF ALL YOU MUST KNOW HOW TO SHOOT A PISTOL. The pistol is your new assault rifle. Get down the timing of a m23 and you're unstoppable....

Oh yeah... Trust yourself. No one misses more than when you're scared.

Sniping........

I ALWAYS snipe Cross Roads...... usually as a Seal. I do pretty good with the rifle and the M23..... :)

Actually, under the :phucker: name, I always snipe. Every Board. That damn RELOAD button always kicks my a$$ otherwise.

Tips:

If I miss, I pull the M23 out, and chase their butts down. Usually thier to buisy trying to find the sniper, I end up behind them.

On Cross Roads, while sniping the alley's, always aim alittle high....... they like to jump, thinking you cant hit them in the air. ;) Cant count how many times I've got killer groin shots on them....... lol

Also, have someone with an assult rifle hang out with you...... he can watch your back, or pick up the guys that you missed, or called out.

And ALL WAYS watch other snipers. You learn new things from what they do, and also learn how to take out fellow snipers. Thats why I got into sniping, I hated being sniped.

use the sr25-sd for making a sniping stealth kill
always aim for the head unless the bastard is running like a *****
if your not good at shoot while breathing then just wait to catch your breath and always listen for your heart to slow down
the m87elr is the most powerful sniper rifle because you dont have to aim for the head because it's a one hit kill so aim for the body and also you can get double the distance in the scope but the volume and recoil is high

A GOOD TIP ON FOXHUNT SNIPING IS DONT TAKE URE TIME TO SHOOT. THIS MAP IS SO BIG THAT YOU CAN TAKE UP TO 4 SHOTS BEFORE THEY KNOW EXACLTY WHERE U R. IF U MISS ON URE SECOND SHOT

ALSO, IF URE JUST STARTING W/ SNIPING, USE THE DE. 50. BUT GO INTO SOME PISTOL ONLY AND USE MODEL 18. IF U CAN CONTROL THAT B!TCH, ITS AWSOME.

I myself prefer the M87ler or the M40A1 the M87 is very good at control unlike the M82a1 and the m40a1 has the steadest scope on socom for a sniper and i can usually get two chest shots or one head shot with the m40a1 and each of them usuall kill the person. I use the m40a1 on the smaller maps such as frost fire and the m87 on bigger maps on like chain where i can snipe up top. sometimes if ur scope aint on them it kills them with the m87

When I am sniping I can never seem not to be seen. Are there not ways where one can hide themselves well without bieng seen by a passerbyer?
