Pro sniping tips
First, when you aquire your target take a moment and think which way would you run if you were him.
Predicting the vector of a target is key in sniping, in sorts you kind of have to read his mind. for ex: if a terrorist to running near the bomb focus your crosshairs on the bomb site and be ready, chances are hes going for the bomb if he's near it.
Second, you have to know when to pull the trigger!
I have noticed that in a dead run when a terrorist is one tick mark from the center of the crosshairs you fire. (if you wait till he is in the center you will miss every time)
MOST IMPORTANTLY! NEVER! EVER! hesitate your shot that is the worst you can do once your in the game dont be afraid to take the shot you will miss every time if you do.
and finally dont stay in one location if the enemy hasent found your location after the first shot your lucky! have 5 planned locations in a sequence parallel to key traffic areas and wait no more than a min to 30 sec in any one of those locations depending the the pace of the game.
well thats it you follow all these rules and your sure to destroy the enemy advance from a distance especially in escort maps.[/b]

Definitely the movement tip is the most important and the one which i see almost nobody do. If i get sniped, chances are the sniper will be in the same spot the next round. In respawns this is a free kill. Although it might seem like a hassle, you have to move after every kill. I wouldnt use that many spots though. I usually have 3 spots close together so that i can get a kill, move, then kill the guy that will be looking for me in my old spot, move again, etc, and eventually move back to my original spot.
As for the crosshairs tip, for some reason i find it effective to sweep the crosshairs across the target in a small arc when firing.

i like to find really weird spots to snipe from, just spots that not many people look for. it took me a long time to figure out that you can't always shoot right on a target but lead then, but when i started doin that it's all so much easier. i guess my biggest snipin tip is to not rush your shots. if there's a really tough shot that you have and you're not sure if you can make it, you are normally better off not taking the shot and giving away your location. either follow the target or wait for a new one. but that is one thing i NEVER do sniping, that is rushing my shots

im really good at sniping! i play foxhunt alot! heres some tips for sniping in foxhunt....if you grab an SR25-SD heres one thing you could do...you could go anywhere and snipe how you would normally snipe but when youre trying to snipe someone and you keep missing, prone in the grass and let him run pass you than shoot him in the back! and make sure if he turns around youre hidden enough so he doesnt shoot you right away!! also when there is a terrorist sniper shooting at you and you want to 'quick snipe' him (where you keep jumping around and when you get on the ground scope in on him and shoot him) shoot him once than jump again and keep doing that or... quicksnipe him but shoot him twice cuz usually when you shoot someone they cant shoot right away cuz when you shot them, they cant move and you can shoot mulitple times and kill him if, youre good! Also when youre camping and looking at an area for a long time alwyas move your scope! dont stop moving it and when you think you see something look at it and see! becasue when i play i see some players looking at one or 2 spots the whole time and i can see the other teams sniper far away and hes looking the ohter way because he thinks no one is gonna get him from there but he gets shot in the side...so make sure when youre sniping look evrywhere you can! well i dont want to give out the good advice so take this advice and use it!!
if you never used the SR25-SD try it out! and if you think it sucks after you die keep trying it! trusst me try 2 full games using that gun and i think you wiill like it! Also if you play foxhunt look for me MUNJO and try not to go against me im pretty good :)

heres another tip.....if you see an enemy running and he doesnt see you and his gun is up hide behind a corner and wait for him to start running again than take out your sniper or.....take a shot but make sure to hit him and if you miss him and you dont think you can get him with another shot hide somewhere and go on from there. Also if your scoping in on someone and your follow him and you cant get a clean shot and hes about to run around a corner or about to get away and he doesnt see you do NOT take a shot...follow him and get a better shot!

All assassins snipe as well as kill from behind. In order to be in my clan, you must be a great shot at sniping. My Hit % is above 80, and my top player in my clan has a 74%, I think.
Just remember: Тайная убийца ударяет из ниоткуда!
Or: Der verstohlene Mörder schlägt aus dem Nichts!
Or: ¡El asesino sigiloso golpea de la nada!
Now somebody out there can speak Russian, German, or Spanish. Ah, I love being able to speak so many diffrent languages. I can insult people in SOCOM in Arabic, and they have no idea what I said. But, being an Intelligence Officer requries me to be able to speak multiple diffrent languages. But i don't have to know how to spell!
P.S. I spelled my name wrong, it is really: Æssassin
Without the a at the end! Sorry.

it's important to remember that a good sniper can totally change the other team's game plan. if you are doin really great sniping then the other team will be sure to not go where you are sniping. but if you do dumb stuff like rush your shots and miss all the time they won't think anything of you. one of the biggest sniping tips, or tips for any part of socom for that matter, is to think about what you are doin. most of the time if you just don't do really stupid crap you'll be ok, and that's definantly true for sniping. you don't have to hit all your shots, but hit most of them and put fear into the other team

TAKE YOUR TIME. Sorry if this has been done already, but i was too lazy to read..
I see way too many people hesitiate (I tend to do it myself) when they see someone to kill. They end up shooting too early, or too late. Just take your time and shoot.
