This has probably been said already...but:


I see people all the time camping around a wall, or waiting for the enemy, then when the enemy comes, they jump out...and put their whole body in the way, and shoot him/her.


LEAN(peek) Only your head and gun shows if you do it right, dont jump all the way out, or the guy always (happens to me anyway) gets ONE shot off, which hits me in the head, so now I peek, amd get em every time.


Of course though, dont go their twice in a row.....

all guns will hit in between the insides of the yellow dash marks EVERYTIME... if you are running, the dash marks spread apart which makes a bigger area for your shots to go.

thats why the M87 and M82 have HUGE dash marks... completley innacurate running and gunning with. they fixed that from SOCOM 1 and the super accurate shotgun :P

no no, thats not what im saying, your right, while running your shots will land in the middle of the yellow lines, and that does worsen while your are indeed running. try it. dont freaking post tilll youve tried it. ive said that too much already and i only have near 20 posts!

take these steps and try it!

this is the complete complete idiots guide. any one should be able to get the proper results following this guide.

step 1. turn on ps2.

step 2. insert socom 2 game cd/dvd into the playstation 2 or playstation two system if its not already in it..

step 3. make sure your controller is in working order for optimum preformance and accurate results.

step 4. follow the on screen insturctions for getting online.

step 5. once online find a briefing room/server to join.

step 6. find a game to join or create your own. just make sure your on terrorist.

step 7. from the armory, grab a 552 sd and return to the game lobby and green up.

step 8. once in the game find a wall and stand away from it but facing it.

step 9. once your crosshairs are shrunk down to their idle position fire a burst shot.

step 10. walk up to the wall and check your groupings/bullet markings.

i hope this easy 10 step guide shows you that the 552 sd will hit the same mark behind the dot on your crosshairs for the burst shot you gave it. fire multiple burstshots if you wish.

from a distance the third shot will be off a bit, likely just above the other two. but at medium range to close range it will be one on top of the other.

trust me! ive tested it! follow the steps.

now im not entirely clear if it was as accurate as i claim from long range, but i will test and edit if im wrong. at least "I" unlike some will tell you if some information is innacurate, test it, and return with the results.

hey thanx every1 for the cool tips,

im pretty much of a newbie myself but im learning the game rather fast.

lately ive been forced to play using some filters because in most games they would vote me out or my own team would kill me and stuff like that. ..that sux.. i assumed they did it because i was new or learning to play.. well, now im playing supression games and im learning the game really fast.

im named moogle inside the game so feel free to contact me to exchange tips or to play together, i havent joined any clan yet, i speak spanish also.

OK ENOUGH here's my question,
in options changing the look speed and acceleration,

i suposse look speed is the cross hair movement speed,
but what is acceleration ??
and what is dead zone ??

my tip for those who are just starting is start in a respawn to get the feel for the game and all the weapons. After a few games and you have a couple prefered guns find a map that is appropiate for that gaun(dark level silenced, large level sniper etc.) you get what i mean and if u play on international hit me up at Skid Mark!

here are some tips to becoming a good socom 2 gamer

1. Know the maps.. if you just run around you most likely suck, running around will only get you shot!

2. know the guns and know what you r good at, why use unproductive guns?

3. use stealthness, why would you want to get into a fierce battle when you can hide and hit them from behind?

4. Use communication, there have been countless round wins just because i called them out

5. Stay calm, playing mad will get you no where but then being a butterstick

6. Have fun, its just a game!
