Ugh.

So a few weeks back I had a set of speakers plugged into the back of my computer(desktop) like they would normally be. Well, the cord of the speakers got stepped on. It broke the plug in half and the other half of the plug is still in the computer.

Any way to get it out?

Here's what I suggest, but I wont hear any complaining if it doesn't work...
(So do at your own risk)

Take a toothpick, put a dab of super glue on it, stick onto the piece still attached, make sure it's nice and dry and it should pull out of there.

And to be safe make sure it is turned off. Remember don't stick your tooth pick in places it doesn't belong in lol.

That's not good. If you can't get it out of the port, you're probably going to need a whole new card.

Well it isn't all bad, I still have the jack in the front of the computer. It'd just be nice to be able to plug stuff in the back again. I hate exposed wires.

Go to a craft store if you've got one around you. For jewelry making they have needle-nose pliers that have super, super skinny tips. You might be able to get the borken-off but out with it.

Repairing the cord is easy too.

Buy a super magnet and put it there. Just hope it doesn't break anything else.

You can try super gluing the connection back, carefully, letting it dry and then pulling it out whole if the toothpick was to small. Or you can take a small screwdriver and a hammer and break the connection apart and take it out in pieces. It worked when I had to take a screw out once and the top was all worn off. We essentially chipped away on the screw and screwed the screwy part out with needle nose pliers. Just be really careful.

If you have access to chemicals you can burn it out CAREFULLY LOL
