I did a search and found nothing on this site.

I'm not advertising this website, but trying to save alot of members a boatload of money of they can't keep the same ringtone for a long time.

You can take any existing song on your computer, that isn't from itunes and turn it into a ringtone. The reason you can't take an itunes song is because they are rights-protected.

Now, this website is FREE and legit. They can do this because they don't distribute the songs, you already have them on your computer so they are your songs.

I have used this site for many ringtones and it works great. You upload the song to the website, choose the part of the song you wish to have as a ringtone, and send to your phone. Supports alot of different types of phones as well. HOwever, I think Nextel isn't on the list yet.


If this is advertising or is against a rule of the site, I truly apologize, but I love this website.

I just downloaded Audacity. Import a song, cut it exactly on the waveform, and export it as an mp3. Then load it on your phone. Works great to record music from wherever also.

I forgot to mention, that the website sends it to your phone in a picture/sound message. SO if you don't have that with your account then you have to pay the 25 cents or whatever it is.

I played with a couple sites like this. One I think was called Ringstar, or Ringster, or something. They basically simplify the process for people and send you the tone. It's nice.

I use Red's method though.

i used something similar when i had the razr when it first came out. Now i just use windows mobile and just put in my edited sounds via SD/Mini-SD card. simple as that. Now my Tezt Message alert is the Wii Mii Channel intro. I love that chime.

With the iPhone, you can pretty much create anything on a Mac using Garage Band (an Apple program for creating and editing music) and import it directly into iTunes to be synced with the phone.

Didn't Apple put something in iTunes to allow iPhone owners to make a ringtone from any song they had?

Yeah, that's now it's done. Import song to Garage Band, then re-import it to iTunes in the right format. Sucks for PC users though. There's a way to do it on PC but it's a big hassle.

Of course, you could buy just about any ringtone off of the iTunes Store for .99 each...
