Ubuntu audio problem

I was originally stoked when I found out that all I needed to do was connect my ipod to my PC to play all the non-drm songs on it in linux, and even more stoked when I realized that my custom playlists worked as well in rythmbox.

However, running rythmbox and a flash plugin in firefox at the same time causes a lot of problems. Mainly, when any audio tries to play in flash, firefox freezes. If I start up firefox first, flash audio works fine, but no songs will play in rythmbox.

Any ideas?

Update:
Apparently I can only have one program using my audio output at a time. Totem Video player doesn't work well with rythmbox or firefox either.

I'm SOL on finding a fix, so I guess I'll just have to live with it.

Can someone else who has ubuntu see if this same problem happens to you as well? If it's only happening to me for some reason I might just reinstall.
