...Maybe I should read the entire thread. So far I saw that he had no vista CD, and I didn't know he could boot into safemode.
I'll stay out of this thread to prevent further ****ups.
And Even if what I though had been the case WAS the case, I guess it would still be better to use the live CD to access his files, then copy and paste them into another, safe FAT 32 partition or external drive...
Man I've been off my game lately.

I always suggest this for Vista, but keep pressing F11 when the computer is booting up.
I have used it before as have my friends, and it works fine. It basically restores the computer to "factory settings" meaning Vista will also return to its original state.... no CD needed.
Not saying it will work or is the best idea, but give it a whirl.

Out of interest, do you and your friends all own the same brand of PC? It sounds like you simply have a recovery partition, which might be installed on a shop-bought PC, but is by no means a standard Vista feature.
Saying that, it is actually quite a good idea, if you do have something like that. Do be aware though that you will lose everything.

I have a HP, and my 2 friends who have tried it each have built their computers themselves.
I didn't think it was a Vista feature either, but it works for us.

Anyway, since you can boot into safe mode, try a system restore. It's in Accessories>System Tools. Run it, and pick a date that you know your PC worked on, and it will roll itself back to how it was then. You won't lose documents, saves, etc, just programs and stuff that have been installed since then. It's been a lifesaver for me on more than one occasion.

I went into safe mode and installed quite alot of stuff, also deleted about a whole 6gb in unused data.
now i have 362gb in hdd memory :D, its kinda running a bit faster, but theres still a problem with my internet explorer >.<, and i hate using other internet browsers :/
Edit: I feel like buying an additional harddrive, would that help my pc run smoother. (its running smooth but i want more space for crysis, i had to uninstall it...)

No, it will make absolutely zero difference. 362GB is plenty for Crysis though...
What version of IE are you running? If it's not bang up to date you could try and get the most recent one. Or, you could remove tthe one you've got and reinstall. You have to go to add/remove Windows components though, it's not just there in the remove programs list, if memory serves.
You could also try updating to Vista SP1, but you'll have to download another browser to do that though. What's wrong with another browser anyway? I'm not one of these guys who will bleat on about how amazing firefox is or whatever, because I use IE just because it's there. But if it died for whatever reason I would have no problem switching to another one and just forgetting about IE - a browser's a browser as far as I'm concerned.

OK, I'm out. A guy at work had a similar problem with IE and I have yet to sort it out. I'm a techie so I kind of have to sort it out, so you'll probably get a positive response from me eventually, but until then I would just recommend using another browser. There's not that much difference, and Firefox's little search thing is actually really good.
EDIT: Oh, did you try System Restore?

System Restore is like the god of computers. Try that before you do anything else. It is a lifesaver for sure.

I didn't read that many posts but everyone I know that has some sort of virus scanner has problems with their computer it seems. I never had a virus protection on any of my computers and never ran into any problems out of the ordinary.
