Pick your poison: The new iPod line-up

Yeah the wallpaper was not showing up because I had it connected to my computer.


I have about 950 songs on it, 1 picture for a background and 1 movie (American Ganster) I love it, was worth every dime, the features are great and I can find songs so much easier.

This seems awesome, and would be great for the iPod as well. It's an app for the iPhone (not sure if it works on iPod Touch) that allows you to stream your home collection to your iPhone, and the iPhones of up to 30 other peoples.

It's free for the first 100k people, so by the time your read this Swiss, you'll have to pay for it.

I wonder how good the audio quality is? It'd be awesome if it cached the full quality files on your iPhone while you were listening to them, so that when you're somewhere without a net connection, you could still play the tunes you recently streamed.

Damn. :( That sounds awesome, indeed. I hate having to pay for apps though. I've got mine loaded with a bunch of cool free ones but I'm just not a fan of paying. The only paid app I have is Super Monkeyball which is a fantastic game, but even then, my bro bought it and loaded it on my phone for me. I think I would also buy Crash Bandicoot but for $10 I can wait.

I've heard recently that Apple is getting more strict with what they approve so it's kinda like you gotta get them while they're hot.

I have this one app, called Shazam, and you put it to any music playing practically anywhere and it'll tell you the name of the song and the artist. I have no idea how it works but it's pretty clever.

I am pretty sure you can load all the same iPhone apps onto the iPod Touch, but someone correct me if I'm wrong.

A bunch of Verizon phones can do that too. I think it's all based off of waveform patterns.

And the touch and the iPhone use the same apps. My friend hacked his touch using a program for the iPhone and put iPhone apps on it.

I'm sure it's the same exact thing that Verizon has on a bunch of their phones. you just put the phone but the sound of the music and let it listen for a bit and it will tell you everything you need to know. Verizon phones then took you online to a place where you can download the song if you wished.

Well, with the new ipods released yesterday, it looks like I'm getting a 120gb classic. Black or white?

I've always preferred white. It goes with more stuff and isn't quite as hot when left in the sun. Plus, some accessories don't look right with the black ones (like headphones).

PS: Wow, this is one of the few cases of an inactive thread that's been around for a long time that's still relevant.
