Windows Live Messenger
Since Xbox Live is now intergraded with with the messenger now. I'm wondering who uses MSN and windows Live messenger. What are pluses to using this software and is it worth the download.

I have been using MSN for about 5 or 6 years now and I only have problems with it when I install third party plug-ins such as MSN Plus or whatever; it stopped me from being able to use my web cam which was a pain.
I only stopped using MSN recently because of my computer dying but I will be back on it when my new laptop arrives in a couple of weeks.
I wouldn't really say there are any significant pluses of MSN if you compare it to something such as AIM, but it's deffinately better than Yahoo or whatever else there is out there.
You can IM, voice chat, video chat, video conference (same as video chat if you ask me), have an MSN version of MySpace (if you like that sort of thing unlike me), and I am sure I missed some stuff.
The last MSN I used was Windows Live Messenger Beta but there is a new one out called i'm and it's no longer the beta version. I haven't used the newest one because it was only released last week or the week before.
When comparing AIM and MSN, the only real differences I see are: 1) MSN is easier to navigate, and 2) File transfer on MSN is MUCH easier.
My MSN/Windows Live username should be in my forum profile but I don't use it much since I don't have MSN and my XBL MSN username is different. (I know, too many acronyms)

I prefer MSN because it's far more attractive than AIM.

I prefer AIM. It does its job, and it does it well. I can connect to it through iChat on the Mac, and the MSN Messenger for Apple is very limited. I also find on all formats of MSN I've ever used, the file transfer speeds are horribly limited. I've never experienced that on AIM.
Did you XBOX owners see the new controllers for the new messaging capabilities? It's pretty funny looking:

I prefer AIM... but only because Swiss and Radio are on my friends' list.

That's what I call a ten minute PhotoShop job... besides, like bigmike, I use my old USB keyboard that I used on my PS2 back when everyone played socrap religiously.

I think it's real! The date isn't even April 1. Endgadget is a reputable source for techy geeks (like me), aren't they? I have a wireless keyboard I use on my PS3... But it's hardly necessary since I don't have a fancy messenger program on it. But I kind of agree with the Endgadget article where it says they've finally crossed the line of too many peripherals. It's bad when a site that surrounds itself on the gadgets complains of that.

I prefer MSN way more. IMO Aim is not setup nice at all. It's too boring. MSN has a nice homepage and everything's setup nicely. There's more emotions and features too.

Msn
I prefer MSN live over AIM immensely. I find AIM to be a eyesore, while MSN is much more stable (for me) and much sleeker looking.
