Un-install Norton. Its a waste of money and a waste of my patience. In case you didnt notice, I hate Norton with a passion. Try CA or AVG Anti-virus.

Every single virus protection software is a waste of your time and money, dude when viruses are deleted they don't leave forever, they are still hiding somewhere on your PC where it is growing more and more and then comes out again to attack, if i were you i get all my good files put them on a cd and reinstall the operating system.

Don't uninstall Norton like Superstar suggested. Try other programs, but keep Norton.

You're an idiot, I've deleted every single virus all the way through my computer. You have to know how to edit reg files and access files that have locks on them

Panda scan then get AVG, Norton is wack!

I don't see the big fuss on Nortan. I have the 2006 version and have NEVER had a pop-up since. It's been great on my part.

What's with everyone hating on Norton? I hear a lot of bad things about it, but I've been using it for 3 years and it works great for me. Can anyone fill me in?

Some people don't like Norton, but I figure that it's to make up for an insecurity (the same insecurity that another man might compensate for with a sports car or with a firearms collection).

I have Norton (2006?) and its doing fine. Actually, it expires in like 4 or 5 days so Im screwed after that.

Its a lot better than a lot of the others I have used. I don't get anything popping up, the one problem I have is that it doesn't run the scan everyday like it should.

I just leave my computer on overnight sometimes with the scan running.

Ha! Irony, I just got a pop-up saying it expires in 4 days, awkward moment.

I have Norton and have no problems with it at all. I have had no popups since I've gotten it and it serves its purpose so I'm fine with it.
