Windows Live Messenger!

Theres a new update on MSN Messenger 7.5. We now have Windows Live Messenger. A hugely improved interface and cooler IM add-ons. You can also view it like an AIM window, many IM conversations in one window. I found it pretty cool. Just follow the links at MSN.com.

This has been out a while, Ive been using it for over a month.

I don't really like it to be honest, I downloaded it thinking it would be 10 times better than the last.

You get new sounds, ability for Internet calls, and what Superstar said.

You can also add people to your contacts list if they have Yahoo accounts. So, you can talk to a Yahoo user via MSN. I haven't tried it, but I suppose its cool.

I don't know if you can do MSN to AIM chat, I'm pretty sure you cant though.

I got an e-mail yesterday telling of a new update and to download it but it wasn't anything new. It seems that MSN are re-sending old e-mails to users who already have it trying to get them to re-download it. Maybe for advertising purposes? "Look we have 1 billionkajillion people download it!!!!!!"

...... no.

Theres no way AIM-MSN chat will ever happen. They are directly competing companies so theres no way that would happen.

Agreed.

Its a good thing too.

I got on MSN for family and some Friends. If I combine the two, It will get messy real quick.

I wouldn't have thought they would have teamed up with Yahoo, but Yahoo aren't really well known for IM.

I don't know anyone who uses Yahoo, everyone I know uses AIM apart from my English friends who live here.

It seems that English people use MSN, and Americans use AIM. Who uses Yahoo?

AIM is the American MSN basically. Everyone I know, my friends and family use MSN, but everyone on this site uses AIM or Skype.

I had windows live messenger for a long time ago. IMO it's better than 7.5.

Messenger Plus was way better than anything that MSN has officially released.

The only problem with it was that it wouldn't let me use my Web Cam which was a pain when talking to family and stuff.

That's weird, I cant find how to open them in one window either. I know you can do it, I did it before!

When did you download it? Maybe they took it out without telling anyone? I downloaded mine a couple of months ago, then again like last week. I will try to find it though, will edit if I do.
