And can someone please tell me why I have to stop the gnome display manager, log in as root, reinstall or cancel out of an install of my nvidia drivers, and then restart gnome again, every single time I boot? WTF?

I like to keep mine nice and simple.

I can post the desktop on my laptop later. Its a little more interesting, but I didn't feel the need to windowblind vista, it looks fine by itself. =]
