I'd want it to be just a deeper experience then the first one. I'd want a LOT more side-missions, a lot more planets that you could visit, etc.

I agree; multiplayer (as in deathmatch and the like) is a no-thanks. Co-op is a very strict maybe. Not all games have to have some sort of multiplayer function; I enjoy my single player games.
There were a crapload of side missions in Mass Effect, but the problem is that a lot of them lacked the ability to be epic and remembered after you were finished. I'd rather have memorable experiences than a bunch that offer little gratification. Loved Bring Down the Sky!

I never had a problem with the looks of the planets. If anything, the fact that they all looked the same is more realistic (a personal preference). That's what planets are; chunks of rock. Some of those planets had major differences (can't think of anything at this very moment, but there are), nothing
drastic, and I think that's how it should be.
If we see more planets this time around, however, I'm sure we might see some different environments such as icy caves, volcanic tunnels, gorges... that kind of stuff. I'm not really sure what more you expected in Mass Effect. =P
