We still need to register for a Konami ID which takes like 12 seconds.
The beta was delayed till Friday. :(

METAL GEAR ONLINE TEASER SITE

They got too much traffic and had to shut the beta down to upgrade their servers. The beta will start on friday and run until the 11th now.

They released another patch. Version 1.02. I'm downloading now. It's moving faster than the first update. I think we'll be able to play once it's downloaded. I'll update this post with what happens.

PS, Mods please move this to the action/shooter


UPDATE:
The update downloaded and installed pretty fast. But the beta doesn't open until 3 am (NJ time)

And this is the reason it got delayed in the first place....

People who are not supposed to be downloading it, are....

I believe the MGO download was taken off of the EU servers a while ago because of it.

The servers should be up today/tomorrow.

A pretty big learning curve from the first MGO. I have mixed feeling so far. I will play more later.

I can't log on. I did all the right stuff to register. I even tried signing on on my PSN from the UK but nothing worked.

Beta is getting some heavy traffic, so some people are having trouble logging on. If you keep trying you will get on soon.

The problem should be gone with in the next few days considering GTAIV will be out. >_>

I got in on my first try since I am in the EST time zone, and I logged on right after school before the large influx of people came.

Also, it may not work for you since you have the EU version. :)

I went on the store today and don't recall seeing it actually.

I went to play on it last night and it prompted me to download the update. The update was taking forever so I just quit and gave up on the game.
